I like this. It's a Titan we've not had before, it's a new character, and it's a female character. And I do like the robot mode design (unlike some heretics).
But I won't be getting it. Because, like the Ark, it has no base mode, and as far as I can tell figures can't actually ride in the ship, which renders it utterly pointless. And unlike every other Titan to date, it doesn't seem to come with a smaller companion robot - unless that's something they've not yet revealed. And it'll be at least £25 more than the Ark was at release. So... thanks, Hasbro, but no.

When the Ark was announced, I wasn't particularly taken with the concept of it transforming - but it was the freaking Ark! The Nemesis, well, it would be nice to have one, but it simply doesn't have the iconic status for me that the Ark does. Having a transforming version is probably actually a bit off putting for me. Add in that it's a new character when they're putting out great versions of existing characters that I already have a connection to (not exactly cheap in themselves so competing for my money), having it female which somehow doesn't quite work and the price, then I can't see me getting this any time soon! Take at least two thirds off the price and I might consider it!  I feel a bit like when the second Titan was released. Metroplex had a wow factor from being the first that the second didn't have and the latter had a high price tag, so I didn't get it at the time. In fact, it was only this year that I got Trypticon, ultimately paying twice as much as if I'd been able to afford it back then. |
