Jibes about your loyalty to ongoing A-Z features aside (I do think you are better off doing less ambitious 'themes' one at a time like when you did all the Pretenders) It was nice that the fanzine was offered outside UK. Eagerly waiting my copy to arrive, but this caught my eye while eyeing the thread. What/when/where and most important, is that fanzine(?) still available anywhere? I think that is in an earlier Hubris but sadly a hard drive failure saw Graham lose all the earlier Hubris files. When I have some free time (once the AA mag is done) I shall have a look and see if I have the fanzine kicking around and I'll scan the pages for you. Andy

Corrected version arrived in the mail this morning. Much obliged, Graham.
Now to get my supah-rare-exclusive-error-version signed by Simon Furman and all the guests at AA so that I can sell it on Ebay for ONE MILLION DOLLERS!

It's not outwith the realms of possibility! After all, someone who bought the AA 2006 TMUK mags got the guests to sign one...
Not it wasn't me, but I damn near pissed myself when I found out.

Expect the AA2008 guide signed by Furman et al to turn up on Ebay by the end of August and go for silly money.

Your copy was sent out by Airmail last Friday. Not too sure exactly how long it'll take. Sadly back issues, as they were originally presented, are not available, but I am working on a kind of Catch Up Edition of the first five issues which will no doubt be available soon.

Sadly back issues, as they were originally presented, are not available, but I am working on a kind of Catch Up Edition of the first five issues which will no doubt be available soon. It arrived yesterday. I was astonished by the high production values. Saving the reading for my weekend train trip. That collection sounds really great.

Wow! That was fast! Sometimes I think Airmail out performs First Class.
I hope you enjoy reading it when you get round to it!
As soon as it's ready, I will post full details about the Catch Up Edition. (Though, given the amount of content, it may be two editions!)

Sadly I have only little to add after all the earlier in-depth reviews. So, here are my short impressions. "All in a Day's Work" was technically well done, but to be honest I've read this kind of strip many times earlier. I was sort of waiting for some kind of twist in the end, something to play with my expectations, not "just doing our job". Booting up cold article was well thought and written. Nothing exactly new for old reader like me, but the thought process behind article is clear and logical. I think I've read at least part of Timecode from TMUK mailing list, but wasn't sure. I skipped it just in case, waiting for that catch up edition... "Harvest" was my favourite of the text stories, tight short mystery, good characterisation, believable progression, good ending that left me wanting for continuation. "Hold tight, Iacon!" on the other hand left me cold. There's nothing exactly bad of it, but there was no... what's the word... hook(?), that'd get me interested in the situation or characters in it. Hard to express, perhaps with upcoming chapters it'll read better for me in larger context? Reviews were rather good, but I don't understand your choice of BW episode, while it could be summed with "it's a mediocre kids' cartoon episode" though. I was most impressed with Incinerator review. Personally I chose Hasbro version, but that's beside the point. For me "this character did this and that in cartoon" was a bit pointless, even if I must admit smiling at Air Raid's summary. Blaster profile was excellent. His cybertronian mode really made a big difference, and the artist behind the picture would be nice information. I know I should recognise the style, but... Summa summarum; well worth the money, more please.

... the artist behind the Blaster AtoZ artwork was Matt Dallas (with colours by me). He is credited on page 2, though unspecifically. Heh - you're as well skipping The War Without until you've read all the previous chapters. More news on that Catch Up Edition soon! Pleased you enjoyed The Harvest. Most future issues will contain a "one-shot" short story in between a "Timecode" and a "Hold Tight, Iacon". Next up is "Murder on the Dashboard" (featuring Prowl and Motormaster) and future stories include (but are not limited to) "Tyrannical Difficulties" (Grimlock and Wheeljack), "Jhiaxus Unleashed!" (Jhiaxus), "The Trinity Test" (Beachcomber and Wheeljack), "Grounded Theory" (Silverbolt and Optimus Prime). Hold Tight, Iacon is 10 chapters plus prologue in total, but each chapter is to be somewhat self-contained and a little bit like a spotlight on characters, next issue focuses on Trailbreaker and after that Prowl, then Megatron and so on. Glad you liked the reviews on the whole. The choice of the BW ep was merely following the sequence of previous issues. Anyways. Glad you enjoyed the issue. It _is_ well worth the money!

Are you going to bring a few over to AA with you? I was hoping to, but probably not as I'm travelling light that weekend. But there are copies still available if you (or anyone else) want(s) to order it online.
