I'd say nobody other than Hardhead, Dinotron & Tankor is Hardhead but I know of at least one other toy that is but we're a few years away from that appearing in a poll. It's not my fault lots of the toys referencing Hardhead all showed up at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

It's Thursday
Yesterday: Day went OK. Seriously ran out of go in evening, ended up doubled up over laptop kb during homegroup.
Today: L teaching. Lunch out. J college. L meeting
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.

Onslaught isn't intrinsically Hardhead, there's little about the original Onslaught that makes you think Hardhead in either it's form or colours. And that' setting aside that original Onslaught came out the year before Hardhead..... And there's not a lot about Universe Onslaught that screams Hardhead either, the Hardhead recolour is very much a name slap repaint, albeit one where they got the colours right for the name.
Whereas Tankor shares some design elements with Hardhead, the 4 tank treads, the off centre vehicle mode cannon that becomes a shoulder cannon, and Dinotron is recoloured from the Neo toy named Hardhead using the colours of G1 Hardhead.

Thanks to the debate about "Is POTP Hun-Grrr a retool of CW Silverbolt?" certain sections of Fandom automatically reply CW Silverbolt whenever there's a question about is X or Y a retool. Since it was jokingly suggested Hardhead was a retool of Onslaught it made sense to contradict it with his fellow Special Team leader Silverbolt |
