I have an extension for a legitimate reason. A thing I need to photograph is in Japan right now.

Every year at the TF Nation convention, TMUK & Toy Fu produce a charity fanzine. This years is Secret Origins, a mighty 124 page full colour fanzine celebrating the era of Pre-Transformers, with facts, pictures, comics and stories all about Diaclone, Micro Change, Beetras and more! All the profits from this publication go to the charity Mary's Meals, which supplies school meals to some of the world's poorest children! This fanzine is 124 pages (including cover) and features: - 29 pages of comic strips - A 16 page Ladybird-style story all about that Beetras Ladybird! - A handy guide to all of the Pre-Transformers lines and where they fit into Transformers - Deep-dives into weird stuff like Brawnblebee, Taco Tank's Microman origins and exactly how Micro Change Blaster worked - Megatron's experiences filming The Man from UNCLE - Plus art and articles and lots more and if you don't get it you should feel deep shame The zine will be available at TFN at the TMUK stall this August. If you can't be there I am happy to post copies out to Hubbers for £10 for the zine plus postage (which I think would be £4 for first class, £3 for second, it's heavy!). Shoot me a PM Contributors: Andy Kiernan , Andy Leta, Andy Turnbull , Ben Pirrie , Damian Johnson , Dan Ghile , Gavin Spence , James Marsh , James Wilson , Jim Sorenson , Kit Tang , Martin M , Matt Dallas , Matt Marshall , Ralph Burns , Rich Self , Paul Heal , Paul W White , Phil Ayres; with cover by Ben Pirrie

I ought to make the effort to contribute again next year. In the meantime, I look forward to reading this year's weighty tome!

Had a read through this on the train back from Birmingham. Really well done. The stories are fun, the art's good and the deep lore of the pre-TF days is really interesting.

I read mine on the train back from TFNation as well, and had to create an account just so I can say how much I liked it! I just saw you're reprinting last year's as well, so I'll have to get that as well. It's great stuff!

I've lately been reading this instead of a book at bedtime, so that it didn't sit unread on a shelf. Interesting stuff and while I knew some of it, I learned stuff too.
