Morning All!
It's Sunday - Praise The Lord!
Yesterday: Won't forget that one in a hurry :-(
Day started with my tummy not being at all great and several hasty trips to the bathroom. Liz & I were trying to work out when would be the best time over the next few days to make a trip to see Mum in hospital in Kingston and the dodgy tummy was playing a major factor in our reckoning.
Then we had a message to say Mum wasn't doing so good and we should probably come up, by which point we were mostly packed anyway for me having an extended stay so were able to come immediately.
We made it as far as the A316 in SW London when we got a call from one of my brothers to say Mum had passed away having gone downhill very quickly.
We completed the journey to her house, stopped to have a cuppa, a rest and a walk round the block for Liz's back and managed to catch my brother Mark before having to return home to Swindon.
Jonathan meanwhile had spent the day in Chessington, at the very south of the borough of Kingston - Mum's house is nearly as north as you can go without being in Richmond! - and we just about made it back to Swindon before he did.
Very sad that Mum's gone BUT I know she's gone to be with her Lord and is reunited with my Dad and her Mum, both of which she missed dreadfully, and has a body that works properly again after five years of physical pain & frustration pre and especially post stroke.
My grateful thanks to Liz for doing the drive both ways yesterday after a very stressful & tiring week which has included her own Father's funeral. It wasn't what either of us needed today, which was planned to be a quiet down day without the boy, but that's not how it panned out.
Today: Church this morning. I am very keen to go in after two weeks when I've failed to make it in. Not certain about J, he might be too tired after two BIG trips out. L's going to drop me to do setup and prayer meeting then swim, for her back, and join me for the service. And after that we will stop.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.
