Man cannot live on Jaffa Cakes alone. There have been periods of my life which may be placed in evidence to cast doubt on that statement. Biscuits are dry. Offer me a plate of biscuits and I will eat one and enjoy it. But offer me any plate of biscuits with a rogue Jaffa Cake in the mix any day and I will take the Jaffa Cake. Martin

There speaks a man who was not in the Royal Holloway Computing Department in the early 90s
Before I arrived they'd done a machine vision project for McVitties to check there was enough Jam in a Jaffa Cake
To accomplish this they had been provided with some samples and, after the project had finished, "a quantity" were left over and had gone well beyond the Keirnan limit.
You very quickly learned to refuse a Jaffa cake when offered one there and the habit has stayed with me.

Morning All!
It's FRIDAY!
Yesterday: Another poor day physically and mentally. Tummy REALLY not good, travelling with it Sunday could be a challenge.
Today: Usual Friday church prep jobs. Sort tickets and assistance out for Sunday. Hasbro event tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

But that's because when Jaffa Cakes are past their best, they turn into biscuits. There is no excuse outside a laboratory to let a Jaffa Cake go uneaten long enough to become a Jaffa Biscuit. Martin

Morning All!
It's SATURDAY!!!
Yesterday: Better, I think. Tummy still very poor, but restricted diet in order to try to control it. RANG Passenger Assist and confirmed plan & ticketing for travelling Sunday with them, major tick on the jobs list. Hasbro accidentally leaked their stream in the afternoon which saved me jobs in the evening.
Today: J at Grandmas. L due home. I need to pack. TMUK Zoom tonight.
DON'T FORGET TO PUT YOUR CLOCKS BACK!!!!
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Tummy especially, I could do with feeling confident it will be OK before I travel. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Clocks go back an hour tonight, folks. Martin Mostly automatically, or once they reconnect to external timing stimuli mind you. I think the only one I'll need to manually change is the ageing alarm clock, which can no longer reliably track the RF time-signal to recalibrate. Karl (Can't have too many manual clocks here - when you don't know what planet, in what era one might end up next you want to minimise the number of manual adjustments you have to make each time you arrive...)

Not here, they don't. Central heating, bedroom wall clock, alarm clock, living room wall clock, wristwatch - five to do manually. Laptop and iPad take care of themselves. When the AI goes bad, SkyNet won't be able to manipulate my sense of time! Martin

Morning All!
It's SUNDAY - Praise The Lord!
Yesterday: Improved. The restricted diet Friday may have had a positive effect. Good TMUK Zoom. Packing done. And off to sleep pormptly, thank you Lord!
Awake an hour in the night c 4am new time.
Today: Going to London for Mum's funeral Thursday. Want a few days rest post journey and seeing people beforehand. Lifts are out Swindon platforms 1=3 and they're digging near Staines so I can't go to Richmond so....
09:11 Swi -> Chippenham 09:21 (should be a cross platform interchange) 09:26 Chippenham -> London Paddington 11:03 (passing through Swindon at 9:40 and Ealing Broadway c 10:50) Then first Elizabeth line back to Ealing Broadway where I'll pick up a 65 to Kingston and go past lots of DW Locations :-)
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray journey goes OK and smoothly, ESPECIALLY te 6min connection at Chippenham) Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

If anything was going to, the horrible headache I woke up with this morning confirmed that my sleep apnoea appears to have deteriorated somewhat. I've a suspicion that the general state of my lungs was not helped by the four bouts of COVID-19 I had last year, and I think that this is catching up with me a bit.
I guess it'll be back to the sleep clinic to see if I need my medical device "upgraded"...

If it ends up in Iron Lung Territory I'm planning to have it built into a 40-45 ton mecha chassis - if I have to be wired to a hunk of metal, it may as well be an awesome hunk of metal. :-)

That's furniture, far too static. The attraction is the mobility and the "go anywhere" aspect of being able to mount thrusters suitable for almost any environment, and legs for ground mobility. Also, Borg alcoves are networked and so open to external hacking in a way that a properly hardened mecha chassis isn't... Karl
