Pinwig is trying desperately hard to get into the Christmas spirit but is finding it unusually hard this year. I've been in much the same boat. Normally I'd be part-way through my ritual of Christmas media, but so far no Labyrinth, no penultimate episode of SDF Macross and I haven't started The Chimes of Midnight. I didn't even have any decorations up until this morning, despite knowing I was going to be here instead of at the parental units' since Wednesday. It was only when I watched last weeks Kamen Rider Gotchard (canonically set at the start of this week, the week before Christmas) and saw the decorations up in Houtaro's mum's cafe (apparently they canonically do a Christmas meal for their regulars the week before as a social event, a nice in-show reason for a bit of festive colour) that I started to feel the Christmas Spirit. As opposed to the Christmas spirits - I don't really drink alcohol much now, so there probably won't be any of that this year. Karl

Morning All!
It's SUNDAY - Christmas Eve!
Yesterday: Day went OK, nice big lie in helped, and got a bit done.
Today: No church service in building today so I'm going to lead online at 10am. I know L has a bit of food prep to do for tomorrow and will want to watch the Carols this afternoon.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Lockdowns notwithstanding, it's the first Christmas Eve in some years, possibly since opening a shop, that I haven't worked. As it's a Sunday, I decided to stay closed; normally I open until 3 o'clock or so. Kiera's been off too, so we're having a nice Christmas Eve together. We've watched The Muppets' Christmas Carol and will later be watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. But I had to pop in here to wish you all my best wishes for the festive season and I hope Father Christmas brings you all some nice robots!

Had a nice quiet Christmas eve. Finished Kamen Rider W, started refitting a Gundam kit with some aftermarket accessorising (turning a Demi Trainer into a Demi Striker, all being well). Had a nice dinner earlier and I have some alcohol-free Corona in the fridge.
About to watch the Christmas Eve ghost story on the iplayer, and then listen to the final part of The Chimes of Midnight - as is the tradition at this time of year.
Not a bad way to spend a day really.
