The question is, when Mrs P spots them and inevitably asks why we need 40 mini fish fingers, what excuse can I come up with?

Two very good reasons, however there is already a box of fish fingers in the freezer for the purposes of making sandwiches. We live the Hilton high life here.

Personally I prefer untoasted bread for fish finger sandwiches - you need some good, soft white bread to counter the crunch of the fish finger. But that's just me.
