Well, it's certainly giving me "I'm waiting to watch that at home, because I don't want a panic attack in the cinema" vibes, so that's good!

If nothing else...that is a darned good teaser trailer. Could we dare to hope that this might be a good'un?

"Producer Ridley Scott" makes me very skeptical that this won't be awful.

Given how he shat the bed with Prometheus and Covenant, I'm glad this is the extent of his involvement.

Well, I mean Michael Bay is a much better producer than director, so there's that.

While I don't see this bringing anything new to the Alien mythology, it does at least look like it's a well put together film based on the trailer.
Cautiously optimistic.

While I don't see this bringing anything new to the Alien mythology, Does it need to though? Ok, Aliens gave us the hive, Alien3 gave us the inheritance of physical traits (or was that in other media prior?) But is a return to the franchises slasher roots so bad?

Honestly, I don't think it needs to necessarily, but slashers do tend to become quite derivative if you are doing the same old schtick (having seen every Friday/Nightmare/Halloween and a vast swathe of the various copycats, hangers on and plain old rip-offs back in the day), so something new would be welcome, doesn't have to be ground breaking, but I don't need a rehash of Alien/Aliens/Alien 3 either. I like the director's work so I am slightly hopeful.
It would be nice to have something to wash away the stink of Prometheus and Covenant.

Oh come on, David plot is what those films are actually about and Fassbender is gold as usual, but yeah, shouldn't be in these. Depending on the time period, a Holm or Henriksen wouldn't be amiss, but it'd need to be CG and I'm not sure the uncanny valley could handle that.

If it's done quickly you could maybe get away with it, a proper spit and a cough appearance.

It needed to feed the popcorn into it's extendable mouth, so when you press a button, it shoots the inner mouth out full of popcorn and delivers it to your mouth
