Something looks off about the Ultra Magnus. I think it's the missiles, they should be red. Hoping that's just a prototype and they'll fix it before release.

Bumblebee is good and all, but he's just a regular yellow beetle. This... This is what I was really hoping for from the Hotwheels side of the collaboration! Transformers who have very distinct alt modes or decorations. Hotrod next, please! |

Our local Sainsburgeries hilariously stopped carrying the Track Fleet range just as Prime came out.  I have given up trying to find one in a shop (and I have had agents searching too). So frustrating. I may have to avail myself of Scalper Bay. This means they will now be everywhere. -Ralph |

I'd hold off a short while longer. They are now showing up in Smyths as well as Sainsbury's. Even if you can't get one from there yourself there could be a glut of stock suddenly just as demand drops which forces the prices down.

I'd largely forgotten about the Hot Wheels Transformers but did get one of the skateboards at the NEC last weekend. I tried to find the stall again later to get another but couldn't and was running out of time so picked up a cheap RED Optimus instead.
Had I remembered about the range, I'd have had a better look at the large Hot Wheels stand where I got the Thundertank.

Goldbee is very nice in person. Much shinier than regular Bumblebee.
Optimus Prime looks amazing. I always rip Hot Wheels straight of the card. Vehicles must roll! They must be played with!
But...Optimus looks so good on the card. I...I...haven't been able to take it off the card yet...but Hot Wheels must come off the card. I'm...I'm so confused...help...hellllp meeeeee...

I'm keeping mine MOC. If there's ever an Optimus Prime to leave unopened, it's one that you know doesn't transform... or does it? As long as you leave it unopened, maybe you can pretend it does.

I have only ever found the line Optimus is in in one grocery store (the one that charges more for a voyager, than everywhere else charges for a leader). Not even the infinite number of Walmarts carries whatever Op's line is called. Only the Super Rigs.
And I wrote off Bumblebee as soon as it was announced. Doesn't stop me from looking.
I'm so far out of my element dealing with Hotwheels, it's not even funny.
The only saving grace is BBTS preordered Optimus so at least I get that much.

I would like to find a hotwheel transformer. As someone who picks up Hot Wheels from time to time I have never had any difficulties finding what I want until now. Saw Bumblebee only once. Never saw Optimus or Goldbee in a store so resorted to Ebay scalpers. Don't know about the US, but in the UK they are almost impossible to find as they are being heavily scalped. It's easy to find the Optimus Track Fleet wave or the basic assortments that include Bumblebee or Goldbee...but just not them. I've seen waves fresh out on shelves with them already gone (but plenty of the other items). No sign of the skateboards or the movie wave as yet. -Ralph |
