This one feels like it's unlikely to reach any kind of sale although I reckon Hasbro will rerun it until the demand dies. Still - £87.45 all in, cheaper than Pulse anyway. Sorted. I've been wondering how I was going to get one of those.

An email tells me that Ultra Magnus will not be released into my hands unless I use the password that will be sent to me on the day of delivery. What. Given all my Amazon parcels end up in the green bin I wonder if I can just write the password inside the lid. |

Luckily Magnus seems to be an evening delivery. I have been sent the SECRET PASSWORD that will enable me to receive him and I am told I will have to deploy it THIS VERY NIGHT.
I feel I ought to go to Orange Alert.

Opened up Magnus and got him transformed. This one gives me the old school vibes. The robot mode is fantastic. It's the right kind of chunk for Magnus but has all the articulation the original one couldn't do. Very impressive figure. The light piping is also excellent - great glowing blue eyes. I just hope this one doesn't yellow, he's everything he needs to be. I've got Masterpiece Magnus out at the moment too - they are very similar in stature although the Masterpiece is obviously a bit bigger and in terms of proportion is a little leaner. But they both have the same feel and the same massive chunky feet.
The transformation is pretty cool too. The cab does separate from the trailer, purely to aid articulation in carrier mode, but you can do it all as one. Solid vehicle mode, my only concern is that the head doesn't seem to have anywhere proper to go so it hangs under the truck, which could mean it ends up getting scraped if you're brmmming him along a desk.

Since the 2024 SS86 Commander has a thread I figured the 2023 one should have too. Turned out there'd been a few more posts on him than I thought!
Following doing the work gathering everything together I got my Magnus out today for a look.
I hadn't realised quite how good his lightpipe was before I put him on the sofa next to me!
