Woke up yesterday fearing the worst, but thankfully it was just me feeling terrible on the morning which hasn't been uncommon for the past few weeks.

Morning All!
It's Tuesday
Yesterday: Bit of a struggle physically, grey all day which hit the body. Eventually rained early evening. Surprise parcel arrived and charged for another item that I've been eagerly awaiting and should have end of the week.
Today: Slept OK but no strength this morning at all. Had hoped to go go down to the garage but I think it will be back to bed. L working.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Morning All!
It's Wednesday
Yesterday: I've had better days. Very tired and in a lot of pain most of the day. Then post afternoon sleep I had to deal with a computer issue affecting more than one of the family's machines. Issue dealt with but a bit of tidying up left to do. L and I did get down to her Mum's garage late on, extracted the pegs from storage - Liz struggled to get them out, no wonder I had trouble - got two shelves up and emptied a number of boxes.
Today: L out most of day at various things. I need to finish the computer tidying up, will enlist J to help. Megazine day so that means it's backup day for me,

What a week! <insert Tintin Meme to taste>.
Spent three days finally finishing dealing with an issue I have been working on for about four weeks. A solution for an issue where the problem was straightforward to define, the solution was simple in conception - but very labour intensive and time-consuming to actually execute. Felt like a lie-down by 3pm this afternoon.
Fortunately I have an RPG session this evening, which usually recharges the batteries. That should give me the energy to get to Friday, when I have a four day weekend, one where the only thing I have to do is formally get older.

Today: Pinwig visiting for lunch and to collect box of stuff. May try to get to garage at some point.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.

I find myself having had quite a good day today. Not only have I confirmed that the ongoing issue is definitely solved, I and a colleague have been able to identify and make available two open-access journals we didn't know were available to us - over two-and-a-half decades worth of additional academic writing in both cases which is now available to our staff and students that wasn't available to them this morning.
I have also determined that once my "to-build" backlog of kits is worked through, the volume of stuff in the cupboard will reduce by approximately 1/3rd (properly packed for storage, four or five gunpla can fit into the space taken up by one boxed, unassembled High Grade kit). And over the long weekend I plan to start a trawl through the bookshelves to identify those books which can now be moved on.
I've also managed to both break, and fix the plumbing in my bathroom in the last thirty-hours.
All told, not a bad days work really.

After a couple of really rough nights, seem to be coming out of the other side of the third bout with covid. Off until Tuesday, so still plan on taking it very easy, but happier nevertheless.

Some News: My Mother in Law has got the place she wanted in Sheltered Accommodation.
Goes to sign paperwork next week, moves in after.
We get builders in to do essential works.
Hopefully in by Christmas and then get our place on the market.
Homegroup is coming over Sunday to facilitate moving most of the remainder of the library into the garage.

We had planned a weekend away but Mrs Ralph is not up for it now so we cancelled late in the day. Her mum has covid and her mate's mum sadly passed away. We shall have some quiet time instead.

Out of curiosity, what was the access barrier? If the journals were already open access, could a reader have visited the journal website? They could have, presuming they had known that they existed. However, the journals weren't searchable in our discovery system, and so their content wouldn't have been returned in things like keyword searches in it. And given that we've foun d that the majority of students engage with journal articles through our Discovery System then they would have never encounter them, even when their content was directly relevant to the area of their search. In a professional setting I would probably have used the term "discoverable" rather than "accessible", but I wasn't sure how well that distinction would translate to a more general audience and I opted to simply, but may instead of just obfuscated my meaning! Morning All!
It's SUNDAY! Praise The Lord.
Yesterday: Lie in, thank you Lord! Morning was a bit of a fight but contributed to the packing ahead of today. Nice Zoom call with the TMUK chums.
Today: Big one this. No church this morning in the building, so our small group is gathering at ours for lunch which is always nice. But today we're also moving over 300 Epic Collections and at least one shelving unit to the garage at my Mother In Laws. This feels quite a major step in the process of us moving.
