No, not really. I mean ironic, or, at least, self-aware.

Given the quality of writing I'd find it difficult to ascribe ironic or self-aware as guiding principles of the art, Sunbow-aware maybe.

I'd be amused if it turned out the "cigar" contains masses of cyber-meds that are the only thing keeping Kup sane.

My understanding of the term 'soft reboot' in that context would be a story which starts with a clean slate, requires little or no reader knowledge of previous stories and which takes a character/book in a different direction, but which can fit previous storylines if readers want it to but may not be a 100% 'fit'. But that's just my interpretation. Your mileage may vary.
Bit like when JMS initially took over Amazing Spider-Man, that sort of feel. Or Transformers: Generation 2.

My understanding of soft-reboot is somewhat similar to yours Ralph. I have always understood it as being a bit of a fresh- start where rather than come out and say that past stories have been discarded (as you would in a hard reboot), you just opt to not talk about them or have any direct continuity links back to them. In essence it is discarding the past but doing so by simply allowing it to fade away, rather than directly throwing it away. (Which is honestly what it sounds like "All Hail Megatron" has done, it has rebooted IDW's Transformers back to "there are good and evil robots and they are fighting a war, and the evil robots want to take over the Earth" and allowed most of the story elements of the previous mini-series behind.
Sort of ctrl-alt-deleting IDW's "Transformers" compared to turning it on and off again at the plug.

It's got to be Ironhide who's the traitor.
Even Prowl said so in that preview for issue 4.

I'm wondering if this is a blunt ploy to lead the readership a certain way down the garden path before throwing in a twist. Spotlight Mirage showed us Mirage had leanings towards the Decepticon cause so it it would seemingly be obvious that Mirage would be suspected of being a traitor if there was suspicions of a traitor in the Autobot ranks. There are a couple of ways this cover could be interpreted: Firstly, it could be felt that Ironhide has just punched Mirage with Ironhide showing his rage and Mirage stumbling about while feeling the force of the blow. Or, it could be that there is an object off screen to the bottom left that Mirage and Ironhide are looking. Ironhide could be showing frustration at what is being shown and Mirage could be thinking over the situation. The fact that Ironhide's glare is not directly at Mirage's head doesn't make the image 100% clear, I would have turned the head a bit more to our right if I was trying to get across the point that Ironhide was shouting at Mirage, but seeing that both Mirage's waist and foot are on the ground then I would say that it is more likely the aftermath of Ironhide punching Mirage. |<o>|

|<o>| The Autobots are gathered at Ironhide's flatwarming party. Mirage has one too many babychams and hurls on the new cream carpet. Ironhide is understandably less than pleased. Mx

I'm really enjoying the Autobots in AHM. It's really lifted the series for me when I had begun to feel the story was going nowhere. I love the last issue (5 was it?), although I deffo think Prowl could take Ironhide in a fight! I partic loved the relationship between Prowl and Jazz. This is the kind of relationship they have in my stories and battles. Almost a Kirk/Spock thing. They have different ways of doing things, but they complement each other. I was fascinated 'bout he whole traitor thing, what happened to Prime, what Hot Rod's doing there etc etc. And I am enjoying the Decepticon's destroying Earth, but wish the plot with the 'Cons would get to the point. Yeah, not too shabby for Shockprowl this.

Finally got around and did a rewritten #2 - remainders of #3 and five pages of #4 are condensed, as well as multiple extra pages showing the scope of the Decepticon onslaught on Earth. Also, Sarah gets altered. www.geocities.com/charlesrocketboy/tfAHM_2script.doc

I dreamed that Chris Ryall personally apologised to me for the existence of All Hail Megatron last night.
Unfortunately there was no Simon Furman or Longtooth in my dream.
