Possibly, though some readers may prefer the trade format.

I think more tea and crumpets need to be deployed to the IDW Forums again!
Moderation seems to be coming down pretty heavy now, and members are being banned for saying they don't like AHM without providing enough "constructive criticism".
Egads!

They're banning people for not toeing the company line now? It's like the Dreamwave boards! -Ralph

Am I the only person who's mildly amused that they want Constructive criticism for a comic ostensibly about wholesale Destruction?

Too little, too late. Besides given that one of the mods was partly responsible for a good amount of ugliness a short while ago I have to laugh.
I only lurk on the iDW boards when someone posts a link, it's long become a cesspool and funnily enough the way to make the boards a better place is to encourage good discussion and the first chap they banned would hardly have been my prime target.
But then it looks like they will be quite happy with the hordes of yes men that the OTFCC boards degenerated into during the Hallit era.

I shall cast an ill-conceived, unfounded generalisation;
That forum has two types of poster/visitor, the sycophants with a desire to be picked up by the editorial powers to write extras material for the TPBs and maybe pitch for stories/covers etc; and paying consumers who, crazy as it sounds, use the place to share their honest opinions of the product(s) they buy.

My new business plan for IDW:
Main book: Get Simon Furman to pitch a 12 issue series making a major jump (but not a reboot) time wise from where things are upto in the current IDW-verse and featuring all the regular (popular) characters with one or two curveballs thrown in and shit loads of OMG points. Once he has written it all out - tell him he has to condence it to 5 issues making a noticeable break from current events but with some amount of referencing the rest of the IDW-verse. Get Nick Roche on Art and Josh Burcham on colours for the interiors and have EJ-Su digital paint some huge interlocking wraparound cover with Trevor Hutchinson variants.
Also do one of those movie tie-in books as it will generate funds from the casual fan.
Do a series of one-off spotlight type issues or a TPB on each of the Japanese series but in a way friendly to the muppet fan bois contingent currently populating those forums.

Anyone else wondering what will be counted as arguing, bashing, and personal agendas? (Especially when there were worse people than Cade and yet who gets banned first?) EDIT: A mod says:That reads like just saying "I don't like this" is seen as undesirable and gets you in trouble. Eerie.

Denton says:OH NOES! - Also, a fan asks: Denton replies: Er... that means the last few years were crap stories with crap stories, surely? And then he said: which isn't what Guido says...

Don't read too much into all that, Charles. It's just the standard, stock "damage limitation" spiel.
Besides, how many times has everyone been told "oh, just you wait until the next issue of AHM, where things _really_ get better/take off/get going/etc". Once after every issue?

Hmmm, if they don't want criticism, IDW are better off shutting down the TF forum altogether. The state it's degraded into does not reflect well on the company.

I'm just bewildered by the fact an official rep for the company and editor of the TF line wrote something that could be seen as saying "cor, the previous stuff was well crap!".
He's now specified that he meant AHM is a jump-on point for a new status quo. (They still hadn't fully mined the old one though!)

Just imagine if the Internet was around when Furman took over from Budiansky on the Marvel US series.

Before the attack, the Trion received distress calls from all over? Not it bloody didn't, we saw before the attack and no one was getting those calls or acting like they'd just heard them.
And FINALLY we find out what's going on with Earth, which is that it's a distraction for the troops. Pity you couldn't have hinted at this before I fucked off with issue 4.

Preview of first page of AHM #7 (or page 3 as it will appear in the comic, spoiler fans). I've lost my ability to decode images it would appear, no doubt caused by seasonal turkey overload. I have no idea what I'm looking at.

#6 is out, anyone get it? Anyone at all? (Holy shit, according to the TF Wiki, in this issue the Decepticons are actually attacking places that aren't America. Hurray! But then Kup says the war started over the Matrix when it completely didn't, and that's not hurray at all)
