I just found out five minutes ago when I opened up the polybag #1 was in. Oh, I swore.

The reprinting of AHM in the UK comic is likely to lose readers who have the same like mind as us but it might gain a few readers like the ones who constantly rattle on about how excellent it is on the IDW boards (assuming there are some UK posters on the IDW boards).

It may play better to The Kids. We'll find out soon enough.

Could also lose readers among the target audience, depending on what they think of it.

I wonder why they did it? There's no shortage of movie comics from IDW to reprint.

It may be an editorial decision not to have the IDW movie strips be confused with their originated movie material.
Or perhaps they have lost their minds. Not having any more Beast Wars to print may have sent them over the edge.

They could've printed Animated: The Arrival, that'd give them six issues breathing space at least.

They could have printed anything other than AHM.

Spotlight Mirage? Panini Armada? Micromasters?

Thanks (puttup) to Titan, I have now read AHM #1. It's very pretty (though I could have done without the Megatron gurn). Not much happens. I was glad DJ died. Serves him right for having a crap goatee (surely against regs?).

Spotlight Mirage? Panini Armada? Micromasters? Spotlight: Mirage wasn't terrible. It wasn't great by any means, but it wasn't awful. Just really pointless.

Oh dear. I shouldn't laugh, but I am. You poor bastards. Welcome to our hell. On further research, I see this is a monthly mag. Bloody hell, you have 16 months of this crap to wade through, if they go with full issues per mag.
No, really. I do commiserate.
There are a couple of UK fans who post on the IDW boards, but there is, from memory, only one who seems to like it unabashedly.
So are you all going to read it, seeing as Titan's putting it out?

I'm not going to bother reading the AHM back-up strip in Titan's comic. I read the original AHM issues as and when they came out and on no accounts do I want to read them again!

I always read every page of a magazine I buy. So yes, I will now be reading AHM, having avoided the US run of it.

So are you all going to read it, seeing as Titan's putting it out? Only if I end up buying the relaunch of Titan's comic. If I do buy it then I will definitely read it so as to get my money's worth. (I'm an honourary scotsman after all). But the fact that two thirds of the comic is going to be a reprint of a series whose preview pages have universally put me off does force me to reevaluate whether it is worth getting given that I may only enjoy the original UK strip. Some serious consideration is required. Karl

So are you all going to read it, seeing as Titan's putting it out? I may or may not carefully cut the AHM pages out with a pair of scissors in order to save shelf space.

Well I've read all the IDW stuff anyway, an old reprint is just something I'll be skipping over.

Well, if the CODA issues end up being less crap better quality as we're all desperately hoping expecting they'll be, then at least you'll have a little somethin' somethin' to look forward to. After a year.
Of course, both myself and those here who are already getting the US release of it will know and be able to tell you well in advance. So give us a few months, we may yet crush all hopes.

I think that may have decided it for me that its time I stop collecting the titan comic, with the number issue 1 and save myself some money.

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with it - it's just a bit slow. I imagine it will be popular with younger TF fans who have been introduced to the fandom through the movie and are unable to buy the US comic. It'll work if they continue to print a single issue of AHM in each TFUK comic.

Hang on, in interviews Shane says he wasn't allowed by Hasbro to blow up famous landmarks. Sure looks like he just blew up the Statue of Liberty.
(And how can you pull soldiers back to a safe distance from A NEARBY NUCLEAR STRIKE?)

You don't. Well, at least not with the amount of time they have left, realistically. But since when did anything in this series operate realistically?
I'm liking the art better than parts of 11, but the robot scenes seem very cartoony in places, both in style and coloring. The human scenes are much nicer visually to me.
Eh, I'm so over this by now, I can't even work up much enthusiasm for the supposed mind-blowing ending.
