Now that's bad news. You've given up your soul to a comic series whose writer is a swing dance teacher for his day job. Your hips will be his to command!

Well, he's already had his way with my enthusiasm, might as well let him do what he wants with my hips....
(Seriously, he teaches Swing Dance? Oh Dear God!)

If thats his profession then I half expect him to write a story sometime in the future where a few Transformers are doing a bit of swing dancing!

I've bought 11 issues of AHM, but FP in Derby has closed, so i can't get 12... do I still get my certificate?
This question gnaws at my soul!

I think I still need the last two issues of AHM which I'll get from Steve Bax. I'm due a free comic from him anyway through the Robot Points I have saved up so I might use it on one of those issues!

What? FP Derby has closed? I loved that store. I had planned to pick up some of the Dreamwave paperbacks from there in a few weeks.
Please tell me the £1 magazine store is still in the market! It's one of my favourite places to visit in Derby.

That preview was... good.
What the heck is that doing under the AHM banner?!
It also contradicts backstory given in AHM #4 and Spotlight Blurr. Comics that came out less than a year ago. Bloody hell, IDW!

Isn't this the story written by Furman? (Which would explain why a well written story is under the AHM banner).
Looks really good though. Is it Don on Art duties as it looks a bit like his style on the Terminator books.

That was indeed a decent preview, and I like Don's new robotic take on the faces. I know E.J. Su was pushing to get to do that kind of look. Who knows if he comes back to TF after Astro Boy we might see him do work in a similar vein.

A bit of an anti-AHM. I like the writing, hate the art!

Just skimmed it as I've got this on order and want to get my money's worth, though actually now I think about it it might be a freebie... Anyway not too sure about the new designs, seems a bit too movie-verse.

At a guess, I'd say that the art is being heavily influenced by Hasbro, what with the Classics/Universe character designs being used. Looks good IMO, so hopefully we can see Furman and some of the other guest writers undo some of the damage done.
Edit: I've just had a closer look at Motorhead's face and, is it just me, or is that supposed to be a Lemmy style mustache/beard going on?

Is it going to be black-and-white in the comic?

Not according to his comments beneath the deviation. I much prefer this second one to Don's piece.
Donny... Give it up.

The b and w art looks great. Shame it's being coloured.
Preview 1 reads decently enough. Yay for Furman. The art tells the story fine but...is not to my taste at all.

Is this the one that's having a Ltd. Ed. version for Auto Assembly?

The first preview isn't too bad considering its an AHM comic. I wonder what the die-hard AHM fans are going to make of it though.

Not according to his comments beneath the deviation. Awww. What's the point of doing such stylish b-and-w art if it's just going to get coloured in?

AHM fans already seem to be complaining about Mr. Furman's "stilted" dialogue. It's better than the half sentences McCarthy gave us.

McCarthy and Furman need a council estate breakdance-off to settle this argument once and for all. I can provide the pregnant teenagers to bolster the audience, if needed.

Thanks for the plug zudobug (unintentional rhyme there) I do indeed have copies of AHM 11 and 12 left. There's about 8 of each at the time of writing, and I also have Spotlight Metroplex, Cliffjumper and orderpages up for AHM Coda. In the event of the demise of your LCS or you want a quick and easy way to get TF comics please go to here - www.oneshallstand.com/comics1.htmlNow I'm going to upset people and say that I got over my early misgivings about AHM (which were mainly based on the lack of continuity being evidenced). But once it all started tieing together it got a lot better and - i dare say -finished on a high. Hunter's rather pointless demise aside (hope he comes back). I've also got issues 3, 5, 9 and 10 for anyone looking to plug a hole in their collection.
