He's hu-uge!
First time I'd seen him in real life. Still not quite convinced. Maybe when he drops to £40 after New Year.
(I have to go back tomorrow as the carafe I'd bought was cracked.)

John Lewis recently opened in Cardiff. I'm boycotting the shop because Toys 'R' Us had a compulsory purchase order slapped on them so that their shop could be knocked down to build it.

I strongly recommend Universe Silverbolt. It has a great paint job for a universe toy and is simple to transform. Much better than the hateful Universe Powerglide.

Oh I actually like both of those molds - I actually have Silverbolt and his repaint Darkwing...wind...whatever it was, and Storm Cloud (Powerglide's repaint)

I don't mind the Powerglide mold. It looks better in his G1 colours, but the main beef is that he's just too damn big. If they'd kept that mold and made it the standard size (deluxe, right?) I'd have been much more tempted to buy him.

I saw yesterday that all of TRU's ROTF exclusive two-packs, including the new Hoist/Mixmaster set, have been reduced. I don't know the exact prices, but they are now quite reasonable.

Homes Bargains had the Animated deluxes down to £4.99. Finally got myself swoop. Prices seem to vary from store to store though. Also discovered that TRU has a price match policy which could be useful to know.

That's the problem with having separate sightings and discount threads - duplication. There are several posts mentioning the Home Bargains Animated in the other thread. It's not the first duplication by any means. Anyone got any suggestions how we can stop this happening? People have probably missed out on bargains because of it.

Hmm, this seems a good way to get a MP Grimlock at a decent price for once. But do I WANT one!

Gah, there seems to only be about two Home Bargains stores around Glasgow. Still, might be worth a hunt for Animated - are they up to Blurr and Swindle, or just the Swoop wave?

Jon, I forgot yesterday, but TRU Cardiff has Swindle. Two Home Bargains in Glasgow? I think Bridgend might have the only one in South Wales!

I think it says you need to buy one of the sale items, then you get free postage on anything you order in the same batch

I made it to the Home Bargains in Rutherglen, near Glasgow, yesterday as I was out there for work anyway. They had a fine selection of TFs - Animated Blackarchnia, Bumblebee, Waspinator, Samurai Prowl, Lockdown, Swoop and Sentinal Prime for £4:99. They had loads of the wave of Uni Legends with Bumblebee, Brawn, Beachcomber and Ani Starscream as well, at £1:99. And a lot of movie Robot Heroes 2-packs, but I'm not sure which ones... So, well worth a look for any of the Glasgow crew! :-)

Yeah, I only glanced at the Robot Heroes quickly, so I'm not sure which movie they were from. Picked up BA - she's got pics of the first wave of toys on the back.
