I couldn't resist the Tonk either.
I did temporarily balk when the delivery was added and closer inspection revealed the discount was only £20 off, but I went back and checked Kapow and ID and their listings were £100 so I can't see it getting much cheaper. Were Game selling it for £70 previously?

Just got back from London, where Forbidden Planet have some Legacy Velocitron stuff discounted.
Picked up Road Hauler for £14.99, but passed on Blurr, who was only £10.99.

They may be crap, these two, but I find them the most exciting Transformers of the last few years. 3.75 inch scale vehicles with human drivers that turn into fan favourite Transformers? This is amazing stuff! Even if Bumblebee can't stand up.

Very much so. They're like... proper toys. With proper play value and stuff. But more, the original point about Transformers was that they're disguised as human vehicles, and when they turn into their robot forms they're so much bigger than humans - and that's not usually all that apparent, since most toys don't come with drivers. And whilst we've had lines like Human Alliance, I think G.I. Joe works better because the 3.75" figure scale is so ubiquitous, it's a scale that all (well, most) of us on the boards will have grown up with, thanks to Star Wars, and I think that really helps to sell the size of the robots. Well, it does for me, anyway.

Really good points about 3.75" scaled Transformers, guys.
I had a taste of this back in my early re-collecting days with the original massive Masterpieces. I found they scaled well with the few 3.75" Marvel figures I had at the time. (What were they called, Showdown or something?)
I particularly remember having Dr Doom stood unimpressed by the size of the original MP Megatron towering over him.
I am very scale and interaction minded and crossovers of various kind are common in my house hold. Generations scale Transformers scale well with smaller scale Ponies, for example, but look better with newer Masterpiece Transformers.
But as Llama eloquently said, 3.75" is what we grew up with, so Transformers fitting that scale figure is indeed exciting.

I can never accept 6 inches. The only true scale is 3.75 but I can accept exceptions for MOTU.
