I went to a pub quiz at my local on Wednesday and the theme of the quiz was 'Film and TV'. One of the rounds was a film music round and the quizmaster played a bit of a song and asked what film itwas from and who sung the song. One of the songs played was 'Real Wild Child' by Iggy Pop and I put down the film as Crocodile Dundee 2 and the artist as Iggy Pop because the song was featured in the film during the mansion brakout scene (and the song was released at the same time as the film). I was dumbfounded to realise that the answer to the film was actually Pretty Woman. I queried this but was told that the song wasn't one of the main songs in Crocadile Dundee 2. What? It wasn't one of the main songs in Pretty Woman either was it?
Two days later the same pub had a disco (as it normally does after a quiz) and throughout the night they were playing film and TV songs. Not the best subject for a a disco let me tell you but fortunatly I was out in the beer garden having a fag when the DJ played the Neighbours theme tune!

The brilliance of the above piece of baked artwork defies my ability to articulate.

That is a rather good cake indeed. (I've heard of ladder matches and steel cage matches, but a marzipan fondant match is a new one on me).

A splendid cake indeed.
The weekend was brilliant. The wedding was tops, my best man speech went down well and I was well behaved throughout. I shall share photos as and when I get copies. Though I looked great (not my words, the words of other people).

You really can't go wrong with a kilt at a wedding.

I have never been invited to a wedding, nevermind been to one. This irks me the older and grumpier I become. I must smell of poo!

Glad to hear that you had a good time at the wedding, and that the Best Man speech went well.
I'm not sure about not being able to go wrong with a kilt though. I've worn a kilt a couple of times and I have a feeling that those of us who are only adopted Scots should perhaps refrain - we don't carry them off quite as well as we could....

My brother - who's only ever got as far as leeds - always does weddings in a Kilt. He hates wearing a wistle.

Done the kilt for a lot of parties/events - black tie events up here often allow you to get the kilt on instead.
