In preparation for an animation course Im taking in a few weeks I thought I'd do some still life. I had a Sunstreaker on hand but prefer the Sideswipe look. Then I thought I'd have a go at turning it into an animation model type thing. And on a completely unrelated note I really want to repaint Leader Bulkhead into Impactor. The more I think about it the more cool I think it would look. You could probably make quite a good Guardian guy or Centurian. Sorry about the crappy pictures. Camera phone is just so much easier than setting up a scanner. Andy

That Impactor concept does look like it would work rather well. I too will look forward to seeing the 3D implementation of this idea.

Reviving thread for more randomness. I had to throw together some pics to put some credits over. I Had a quick go at something new at first Hyperdrive and Overlord, but it was taking too long so I recycled some stuff. Still I thought they came out nicely. Border from the G2 credits. From Blueshifts German translation comic. And a mishmash of stuff on my computer.

Yearly Bump! Spent yesterday doodling and ended up with this. Gave Hyperdrive a new colour scheme, never quite sold the red and blue original. And the day before, G2 goodness.

Ta muchly guys. That Jazz toy is ridiculously poseable. I think I'll keep one around as a manaquin.
If by some chance you have ever wondered what happens when you combine Photoshop, Bob Ross and Actionmaster Thundercracker while listening to far far too much Beach Boys, well this is your lucky day.
Stay tuned.
Edit: just noticed I left a rough layer visible in the Turbomasters pic. Grrrr!

Thanks.
Hehe.. I mean *serious face* I just realised that given TCs size that wave is most likely a Tsunami kind of wave about to destroy whatever coastline it hits.
AMTC, bringing the destruction even when he's just trying to have some fun fun fun.

Cheers. Quite like the crop too but if I keep it that tight I'd best do some extra clean up.
I was thinking of something else to do when a theme struck me.

The composition is bang on, nothing wrong with the perspective or proportions, but you need a rope or chain on the punch bag, it's just floating there, which I think is what's missing.

There is actually a rope there but now I'm looking at it it does look more like a tree trunk or branch.
It's meant to be hanging from the palm tree, but yeah I might change it to a chain.
As for the composition I think it might have become a little static compared to the early sketch lines. Nothing unusual for me there, but for some reason is bugging me more on this one.

Yeah, or change the colour of it, maybe make it a bit more beige instead.
That's the thing, the loose sketches do have an energy that sometimes you can't capture again when you start doing detail work.

Looking good Andy, Bumblebee is exceptionally cheery looking.
If you are looking for a good free drawing app for the note, you might want to try Layer Paint.
