Sontar-Ha!
Methinks the writer had recently seen both Predator and Stargate.

Bloody hell, that was dull. I'll give it a miss until the Brig turns up.

That's not enticing me to watch! Only the Brig will get me watching this show again!

Is he rumoured to be coming back?
I'm enjoying the show so far. It could be a lot worse.

I hear the Doc might be making an appearance. He appeared in a brief School Reunion flashback today. I don't know where you heard it, but I could imagine that being a source of internet scuttlebutt. Do you know what I like about the Sarah Jane Adventures? (Well, one thing amongst the others, anyway.) Cliffhangers! Good, old fashioned, "ooh, you can't leave it there" cliffhangers. There aren't enough of those in Doctor Who these days, so it's nice to see it happening here, at least. Something occurred to me whilst watching today's episode. The new girl is called Rani. It only took me three episode to make the connection, but this is surely a tip of the hat to Kate O'Mara's 1908s Who character. It's a heck of a co-incidence otherwise. You could speculate that she is actually the Rani, hiding from the Time War in much the same way as the Master, but that would be stretching credulity a bit. The New Theatre Acton must have had the same architect as The New Theatre Cardiff. ;D

They were both bearable but for a one off viewing only... Shame, cos I like Russ Abbott.

**Spoiler warning for yesterday's episode.** That's not enticing me to watch! Only the Brig will get me watching this show again! -Ralph Then I hope you saw yesterday's episode! The Brigadier, yay!!! Didn't the Sontaran/UNIT episode of Doctor Who say that Sir Alistair was on assignment in Peru? That would seem to place this series of SJA before the fourth series of Doctor Who.

I watched the last 2 episodes on iplayer, purely because the Brigadier was in them. He was tops! Whenever he was off-screen I slipped into a coma though, so who knows what was going on.

Not seen the ones with the Brig in as yet. I did watch "The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith" parts 1 & 2, mainly because it was filmed where I used to live. My impression was that children's drama hasn't really moved on much beyond "Dark Season" except in terms of the effects work improving, but then as I haven't seen any other shows aimed at the same demographic recently I don't really have much of a benchmark for analysis.

Considering what's left of children's programming in the UK, still being able to actually do the production values of early 90's telly could be considered an achievement in itself. Kids telly is very poorly funded.
