The till at my local newsagents have started registering the comic at £2.99 rather than £2.60. The discount was nice whilst it lasted.
Great cover gifts as usual.

Nice issue - but the UK strip did seem to have problems with the colouring on 2 scenes. But great to have extra pages, but no real big mention of what is in #1.

Obviously, we'll get a new ROTF UK strip and possibly more Animated strips. I guess we'll also get one of the recent IDW ROTF stories as well.

As with Gathering, splitting Ascending up in the reprints made me like it a lot more. Splitting Origin up failed to do the same thing.

Some stories work better when they are more 'episodical'. Megatron Origin and even All Hail Megatron wouldn't benefit from that but maybe Alliance and Defiance would.

And if it was to issue 16, that'd mean it'd take FOUR YEARS.

Picked the comic up yesterday. Decent ending to the story but the art was a bit flat in places I thought. The animated story was pretty rank, loved the art but the story wasn't up to snuff.
Looking forward to the relaunch issue.

Overall, I've felt that volume 1 has for the most part delivered enjoyable originated strips. Perhaps nothing exceptional but rarely less than fun fast-paced reads, and increasingly superior to the TF comics from across the pond.

It hasn't been too bad. Some of the stories haven't been too interesting in my opinion but most of them have. Here's to Volume 2 being just as good if not better than V1.

I have rather enjoyed the UK comic. I general the stories have been fairly pacy, with quite a lot going on in each issue. I've not been as enamoured of the backup strips, but then they have tended to be stories I had already had an opportunity to develop a dislike for. The main strip has certainly been, in general, the Transformers comic that I have looked forward to in the month - it has appealled to me far more than most of the US material in the last little while. All told it hasn't made a bad fist of things really. The ending to the main strip wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it context it is fairly workable and does tie things off fairly well (possibly better than the ending I was expecting that we would get in actuality).
The best of luck to Volume 2.

I have always skipped the backup strips because I have already read them prior to them being published in the UK comic. The UK strips have though been the better of all TF comics in the past two or three years.

Certainly, they've got more twists I didn't see coming. IDW, there were a few for Revelations - the end of Spotlight Hardhead, using Pretender tech, that great "I choose BOTH!" bit with Optimus - and again for Max Dinos, but nowhere near as much genuinely unexpected stuff as Titan.
Who saw Unicron coming? Or the return of Stockade? Or the way the Autobots won? Or that brilliant cliffhanger to #23? Or the Decepticons seizing half of the States? Or etc etc.
(Starscream says: "You can barely see your own oversized olfactory sensors, you simian simpletons!")

I most liked how Starscream took over a chunk of America, and it was done in one page.

You can't fault Starscream's expediency.

Terminator Salvation Comic #1 from Titan has a Free! robotic grabber arm. I expect this will turn up on the front of Transformers ROTF sometime! It must!

Is the strip any good?
And here's a sobering thought for you - more people have read IDW's titles through Titan than in North America.

Haven't had a chance yet to read it properly: quick scan is that it's a prequel story.

Really enjoyed Titan volume 1. Bit annoyed at first when they went alt-universe with it but it worked out pretty good and I looked forward to it every 4 weeks. The other strips varied (and some I'd already read) but I just saw them as bonus content so when they were bad it didn't particularly bother me.
Curious what will happen with volume 2. Will it be another alt universe spun out from movie 2, or will they try and mix it all together?

I assume they'll tie it to the film. Though a different alternate universe would be much appreciated!

It's not even all the prequel. 15 pages of strip in a 68 page comic!
But back to Traaaaaaaaaaaaansfooooooooooooormers.
