Here it's just wet.
I planned to be watching Crystal Skull on DVD tonight and the jiffy has just popped through my door. However I've been sent the Blu-Ray version. Grrrrrrrr.

I received a loose Marvel Legends Thor today. How exciting.
Awaits Doc's marvelous and highly amusing Thor impressions...

Today is National Aim-Your-Vehicle-At-Dave Day. I was out today and nearly got hit by a car or van on seven, SEVEN occasions - two of them were when I was walking through the park!!
Think I'll spend the rest of the day indoors.

Just missed my 24 hour window by 10 minutes due to crap transport and being ill. I have been told to come back in half an hour to see an advisor. Am seeking refuge here and just wanting to go home.

I've had 3 or 4 spam viagra e-mails in the last couple of days, that appear to (but don't) come from my own e-mail account. Very annoying. I don't want to put my own e-mail address in my list of blocked addresses because sometimes I like to copy e-mails to myself.
I wish people couldn't edit the 'From:' field on their e-mails, so as to pretend they come from addresses that haven't sent them. No good can come of it.

I must admit I've never had anything pretending to come from myself. Which is actually quite surprising, considering that one of my old email addresses was the one I used for Usenet posting for a good number of years.
I swither sometimes as to whether enforced universal digital signatures (as touted by Bill Gates) is the way things will go in an attempt to fight spam. But then that opens up the question of what body authenticates these signatures. Who do we want to trust to control our online identities? I'm not sure I would want that power to be in the hands of Microsoft, or necessarily a particular national government. Food for thought I guess.

I would like to announce that I KICKED MOTHER-HUBBING ASS in my practicles today and passed them all with my tail so high I was vissible from space. I intubated (that's the one with the tube down the throat- gold standard airway and all that) the intubation dummy from 10 feet away, launching it like a javeline, from under my leg, blindfolded, whisseling dixie, bare breasted and carrying a twelve pound baby. I officially rock. AAAATHANYOUUUUU!!!!!!

Only 3 or 4 spam emails. You are a lucky man! Only 3 or 4 from myself. I do get other spam e-mails not from myself. Though Yahoo's spam filter is pretty effective. I suppose I've got off lightly considering I've been using the same e-mail address for nigh on a decade. But if it continues I'll have to put myself on my own blocked address list. And I am unnerved by the subject headers, which are along the lines of "WE HAVE YOUR DETAILS". (And then a viagra ad.) In other minor annoyances, knocked off work early today to have the timer fixed on my boiler, repair man didn't show up, I phoned him and he said sorry, couldn't make it today and had lost my phone number, can I please knock off work early tomorrow as well. Ho hum. A night of 'West Wing' is called for. Nicely done, Shockprowl! Channelling for Ken and Ralph. Martin

Ho hum. The guy turned up today, but with the wrong replacement timer. Can I please knock off early tomorrow too, making it three days in a row? I remembered my Elwood P Dowd and pleasant triumphed over smart. Third time lucky, eh? I'll make up the flexi-hours when I go to London and back in one day the week after next. Martin

Boilers. I once had a boiler konk on me only a coupla weeks before I sold a house. Grrrrr.
This week, I am mostly enjoying reading The New Avengers. I have vols 1,3,4 and 6 in my posession. Great collection of characters and great stories. Obv building up to the 'Secret Invastion'. Getting heavily into Marvel at the mo.
Piglet shocked us all by saying, after I'd asked her if she wanted a drink: "No thankyou, Daddy. Thankyou for asking." !!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's only 2 and a half nearly!!!!!! Later though she danced around the lounge singing "Miffy! Little Bunny! Miffy! Little Bunny!". Ahhhh.
I'm at work tmw. So off to bed in a bit. Laters!

What I do is include a specific set of characters in my email subjects when I send mails to myself. If Outlook sees my email address and doesn't see these characters in the message title it automatically files it off to the spam folder.

I love miffy the rabbit, she never had much to say.
The Kingston Christmas lights went on today, though I never got to see the grand 'switch-on' event, no, stuck inside el shop. I doubt if it was very exciting as everyone probably buggered off to Oxford Street to see those lights switch on. Still they had a small brass band down on the ground floor in John Lewis so it was nice to hear all the carols.....then it repeated it self. There were also free mince pies and mulled wine, although the mulled wine looked suspiciously like champagne......poured from bottles......in flute glasses. But we didn't get any, and I don't think many customers came in either. HA!
That new drama Apparitions on BBC today was soooooooooooo cooooooooooool, love the demons in that show.
