As said, the fact we're having to do this is going to make the situation even worse. The BBC have to take notice. What I would say is that Tom generates more interest than the other Doctors; I don't think there is quite so much clamor for Peter. His first set stuck around for months after it came out (but then I seem to recall S18 did too).

Nope. I tried to get S18 and S19 within the month they came out and couldn't find them at RRP (I lacked a player then but was planning on getting one). S19 later briefly popped up on Zavvi or HMV for £50 but I was short then.
This was why I moved to Day 1 pre-orders.

No way! S18 came out March 18th last year and I bought it from Amazon July 3rd. It was up for ages. Season 19 was out Dec 10th 2018 and I bought it for retail last June from Zoom. I remember doing that because it had started going up in price on Amazon. It was only when the Pertwee one came out that things started to get more difficult.

I couldn't find them whenever I checked. Maybe they went in and out of stock. -Ralph

I have now learned that Argos (!) get them in though they apparently sold out of s14 early doors. They still have some left of s23 and s26.

Been scratching my head wondering what the significance of the cover of the new DWM is since it turned up. I've only just twigged it represents the RTD/Moff interview.

I was gobsmacked to learn reading the obit in DWM that David Collings was the dub voice of Monkey. As soon as I read that I thought, of course he was. It's obvious but I'd never twigged.

I can still hear Pigsy's voice but I couldn't tell you.
David Collings to me is Legolas. Whenever I heard him speak in anything it was always Legolas talking.

Odd you should mention Legolas because Pigsy is Peter Woodthorpe who was the R4 LOTR's Gollum.
Sandie is Gareth Armstrong who was in the The Masque of Mandragora: Part Four as Giuliano

Oh wow. That's a voice impossible to forget. Lord of the Rings, Hitch Hikers and Space Force were the three things I heard as a child that opened my eyes to radio.

The 7th Doctor had a body double in Day of the Doctor? I assumed the final slow-motion group shot was CGI (unless this is a different shot).

DWM has arrived. The Current Situation means the comic has to skip the next 3 issues for economic reasons. Understandable but sad. And in other news HOW THE **** did THAT STORY come in as the 2nd best First Doctor story??!!! -Ralph

Feels like the current situ is beginning to bite now. Weak feeling issue all round on an initial flick through.
They need to sort out the covers too. A lot recently have been terrible. This one using a grainy old 60s pic with random swirly bits is even worse than those odd classic doctor closeups they did last year. I suspect these covers work better when the straplines are on them, but they really aren't a subscriber incentive. They need to go retro gamer's route and do totally different sub covers that use the space. The gaping holes on DWM sub covers just make you wonder what text you're missing.

Curious as to the rationale given DWM is pretty much a subscriber floated title.
