There is a positive value to being able to communicate ones experiences, and to discuss what is going on in your life and how it is effecting you. One of the things I like about the Hub is that we do have the ability to talk freely, and we offer each other support, even if it is just an ear in times of trouble (interspersed amongst the smut, wit and nonsense). So don't fret it, and feel free to vent.
I'll have a word with my local ducks at the weekend and let them know that the familia down your way have been slacking off. I'm sure once they get to hear that another family is looking to move into their territory they will get their act together.
Ken - the fact that you were finding things to write right up to the wire is a good sign. At the very least you were in there swinging, and sometimes the most important thing is to make the attempt.
For my part I have had an odd and slightly bitty week. Still assimilating what it is all going to mean. One thing is for sure, there is a period of change coming up, that much is guaranteed.

It does occur to me, however, that such negative and repeititive posts could be annoying to read. So if they bother anyone, I susggest skipping over them or dropping me a PM. Doesn't annoy me in the slightest. Me neither, Man! Doc', you even considered joining the Ambulance Service? Two good days at Uni. Did Sepsis yesterday. Did you know it's just as bigger killer as Heart Attacks? Piglet got hold of DC Direct First Apperance Martian Manhunter and Marvel legends Ronan Series Thing today. Thing kept huring his toe (I've got a broken toe at the mo), and had to go see "Doctor Marshaan". They had a little dance for a bit, Marshaan being the instructor. Then they attempted to build a wooden train track. Marvellous. We've started taking Piglet to Play Group, 2 hours, twice a week, where you leave them. It's really well run and she's more than ready for it, but, leaving her there is just murder! She only a little baby!!!!!!!! Today was my first time leaving her. 'Like removing an internal organ and leaving it out in the cold cold rain. Piglet didn't care, she just wanted to start playing! Got back home and didn't know what to do with myself! So I did some homework. Ah, how quickly they grow-up.

Just watched Iron Man for the first time today. £5 in Zavvi and Cloverfield too for the same price. Not bad.

Must check in to Zaavi again if its open see if prices have dropped anymore. Got Season 1 of The Shield for £8 last week.
Been a better week generally it started badly spent 3 hours shaking during the night and ended up getting up at 5am. Got dropped off in town by my brother and then had an hour to pass before going to job center to sign on. That was the worst part there is just something horrible about going in there. I'm being a horrible snob, but I always get hit by the thought "I'm one of these people". But between August and December while I didnt have to sign on the make up of the people signing on has changed dramatically its now full of people who clearly are used to having a job. Despite all the talk of credit crunches this is the first time its really felt like a real problem.
I ve bee nplaying on Wii Fit and Wii Sport for the last week and beswides being gfreat fun I think its helping heal my shoulder which is a nice. Plus Im nearly at pro level on the tennis and I beat my record +15 on the golf.

I need to get Wii Fit back from the inlaws. Really missing it!
Doing youth work tonight at TGI: Friday (Not the pub/resturant) where I'm in charge of the 10-11 year olds. Starting early because overy month we have a tea-time scheme for kids who don't get a chance to have a meal when they get home from school. Usually we play a DVD in the background, so tonight I am showingcasing a choice Creature Comforts season 2 or Looney Tunes: Golden Collection vol 1.
Later in the evening I'll try and have a crack at drawing again. Maybe something Destron-related...

Going to University is *never* a waste of time, no matter what the outcome or how it feels at the time. Just take each day/task/exam/assignment at a time. The most important thing is to reboot yourself each time. By that I mean take a deep breath, smile at someone (or get someone to smile at you) and take a day for yourself. Do something just for you, it doesn't matter what it is, but just remind yourself that you're still alive and still a real person. Hopefully then, with a clear mind and some renewed energy you can tackle the next assignment with more confidence and enthusiasm. I get what you mean. A course module leader said to me I need to do more things that make me happy and to 'take breaks'. Another thing that has happened for me today is that I've been enrolled in extra writing classes on Wednesdays so I can improve the way I write stuff. For a while I've been told I have the right idea about assignments but need to execute my wording better. The exam went bad to start and then I could not stop writing away and the 2 hour slot was'nt enough for me to finish. That does'nt mean I did badly or brilliant either. The mood I was in this morning I could have just left the paper blank or walked out. ===KEN You need to maintain a healthy distance from your study and not overthink it as you'll end up in a vicious cycle without getting where you should be. Take your tutor's advice and try to form working patterns that separate the studying from your home life. Regular changes to your working patterns (different rooms, places) also help. Try not to associate it with negative thoughts. If it helps, I have the opposite problem to you with my writing according to my supervisor. After the formalities and attitude drummed into me when I did my MA at Wawick, I write like Martin Heidegger (dense, impenetrable, technical, obscure) which is horrid for people to read and I need to change it. If it is a matter of getting your ideas out in writing, have you considered going for SpLD assessment as you might be able to access software to help you develop your ideas and express yourself better (Read & Write / Inspiration 8).

The Doctor is so cute sometimes, no ducks!! Almost as cute as a girl I read about and she used to talk to her Sunstreaker toy while sitting by the river.....ah, adorable.
Anyway i've managed to book days off for autoassembly which i'm very excited about, but it could all change as they are going to be making people from my department go to womenswear.....I don't really want to go there as the female customers are a damn nusiance and horrible most of the time.

Martin I gave the kids a choice and Looney Tunes won the majority of hands-up and the Bugs Bunny disc was chosen. Bully For Bugs which is a personal favourite mine got the best reaction from the young audience. Hey Karla, hope you enjoy Auto Assembley.

Been reading through the script of a student film given to me after expressing interest to appear in it.
The film is a modern day western and the students working on this production are needing somebody 30 or over to play the vengeful antagonist.

You look like a vengeful antagonist to me!
We bought a new sofa today! Spent a disturbing amount on it, but, as I said to Mrs Shockprowl, "I will not compromise on comfort!".
It's deep, very deep, that's the Key to Comfort you see. Trust me, I'm a black belt at sitting.

Ah, new sofas. I need one of those at some point as my current ones were inherited along with the house and are beginning to show their age somewhat. Also, I would quite like a three seater so I can probably sprawl out with a good book. Not something I shall be rushing out to acquire in the next few months though. The dust has to settle on some other stuff before I think about that kind of expense.
Had a thoroughly good walk today - took advantage of the good weather this morning to head off up the canal towards the nearby town of Bonnybridge to a bit of wildlife spotting. Total count was on the order of eight dogs, fifteen ducks(regular), one duck (uncertain type, possibly Eider), two Cormorants, two Herons and four swans. Definitely a good way to wind up the week.
Then I came back and fixed myself a nice simple lunch - one tin of tomatoes, an onion, some herbs and a couple of handfuls of pasta did the job nicely - and settled down to watch a DVD. A very pleasant way to spend the day, and I got things around the right way too as this afternoon the heavens opened and we had rain and hail before tea time....
