Having read a some of this through the reprints in the current UK comic (before I abandoned any though of bothering to read the back-up strips) I can safely say that I won't be wanting this either.

Not my bag either, but I do like that IDW are starting to put out omnibus volumes at reasonable prices (this and The War Within are on the schedules). I would be tempted by some Furmanverse omnibus volumes to replace the single issues at that pricepoint/pagecount.

Is the Ascending really that bad? I've got Gathering Trade Paperback, and while the pace is kind of slow for what little plot there is, it is a good book, well done and fits into the BW continuity well...
the only IDW stuff I'm not bothered about is the "new" G1 continuity. Yawn. Give me the OLD G1 continuity any day (by which I mean Marvel, not Dreamwave:) )
