Did anyone else catch this last night on BBC2 (it was shown previously on BBC4)?
The programme looks at the british approach to science fiction and deals heavily in the first part with the impact of H.G Wells and Olaf Stapledon, as well as a little on John Wyndham.
An excellent programe and the first of three parts. Two and three are on tonight at 1120 (after Newsnight).
Well worth watching.

Ooooh might stay up and watch this, actually. No doubt my good mate Dave (the channel, that is) will entertain me till then.

Wanted to see that when it was on BBC4 - but couldn't as I can't get digital channels. Might have to set a tape running for that as I doubt I will still be up and watching TV at that time on a school night. (Especially as I need my beauty sleep for Glaswegicon tomorrow night).

Beauty sleep Karl? Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much!

Glaswegicon tomorrow night What's happening in Glasgow tomorrow night? I've been off the grid the last couple of days due to a glitchy modem and overwork. -Nick
