uk.comics.ign.com/articles/952/952513p1.html All Hail Megatron Coda is a four-issue mini that starts in July. Each issue has two short stories which will bridge the gap between and set the stage for some "very huge, secret plans."

So after a year of AHM we get another 4 months of it. Oh joy.

AHM has had twelve issues and it barely filled them! How the hell does it need four more?

I get the feeling it is going to be a series explaining how it fits into continuity

Well to be fair a comic about how Autobots became Maximals would probably be really boring

I quite like the idea of two 11-page stories per issue. I wonder if they'll be like "mini-Spotlights"?

That's a possibility as there are five writers attached to the project. I noticed a certain Mr Roche is one of those said writers.
I'm actually filled with a lot more optimism about this series. From the outside looking in, it would seem IDW has realised that the backlash to AHM needs to be addressed and are finally doing something about it.

If it bridges the gap between All Hail Megatron and Maximum Dinobots, which happens before AHM, doesn't that make it more like All Hail Megatron: Prelude and Coda?
Not sure that it should require a second series to explain how one series dovetails into another. If none of these elements were considered important enough to actually bear on AHM itself - which apparently they aren't given that they have been relegated to a "filler" series it makes one wonder whether they are consequential enough to sustain the 44 pages.
AHM, even when it is over it apparently just keeps rolling. Wake me when it is done.

The whole event will retrocactively become known as "Kupdate". This much I'm sure.

I feel the wheels on the IDW Transformers franchise have become a little loose in the last few months (Maximum Dinobots not withstanding) and this doesn't really make me feel enthused. If you can't do it in twelve issues, then why announce a twelve issue series?

Indeed. My enthusiasm has waned tremendously. To learn that AHM gets another 4 issues does not interest me in buying the product, even if Nick Roche's name is on it. Sorry, Nick, nowt personal. Even if Alan Davis (a favourite creator of mine) was on it, I'm not buying an issue of AHM!

The AHM story is getting just a little bit too silly now. Twelve issues was too much for a story that should only have filled four or five issues so to bring out a sequel series just doesn't make any sense.

I think we would have seen one by now... he seemed to be rather lukewarm in his reception towards that The Transformers: The Movie adaptation.
