Agent Red is a bit thick, really.

The final panel in Maximum Dinobots #3 is the best panel ever in an official TF comic. Nick Roche not only rules, but also rocks and rolls out.
I weep that some of you are waiting for the trade before finding out what's depicted in this final panel of ultimate awesomeness. Just trust me and exalt him now, OK?

Ha! I'd forgotten I did that, actually! The long-deserved shout-outs start here! If I can only shoehorn in a law firm called Dornan, Dallas and McV we'll be laughing! (Or better yet; install Star Saber as a tyrannical warlord/uberbastard!)
And Martin: big thanks for giving the series a shot. I know you're not a regular reader of current TF stuff, so your support means a massive deal, sir. My thanks.

I've got a nice little Nick Roche colleaction going next to Marvel US #1-80 and UK #1-332, consisting of your four Spotlights and MD #1-3 (all with your covers on them). It allows me to be completist on my own terms... and if I didn't rate the material, I wouldn't be sticking with them. Sorry to hear you won't be doing #4 and #5 in their entirety, but I guess I'll buy them all the same. Martin

I hope James spots it!
Another enjoyable dino-romp this issue.

Loved this issue! Continually superior to AHM. Two things stand out for me... So Grimlock's support team weren't who I thought they were going to be at all! I like how Furman has picked a completely unlikely set of characters to roll in and help. Plus, there is that reference in the final panel! Loved it!

Go! Buy it now!
Bought Nick's cover with Swoop, can't help but wonder whether the sign on the floor is meant to reference a specific character (secretly behind everything? Possibly disguised as Swoop?), or just the current state of the not-so-cosy-anymore-hamlet where it's all kicking off.

My copy turned up! The Dynobots suddenly leaving only to suddenly come back didn't really work and was lame . EVERYTHING ELSE rocks. Especially Hot Rod's clever way of getting rid of his guards. ;D

Am I the only one who read that scene differently to everyone else? My interpretation was that Swoop wanted to go off on his own, but then realised he had nowhere else to go, since they'd burned all their metaphorical bridges, so had to come back. Didn't you ever, as a kid, storm out of the house, saying that you were running away. Only to realise that you had nowhere to go and it was probably an empty threat? Just me, then.

I did that several times. On one occassion got as far as staying at someones house overnight. Mostly only got as far as Cambuskenneth Abbey (for some reason a place my parents never thought to look for me). Karl

I'd had this a few days before I finally read it last night. Great stuff - blimey Hot Rod's taking some punishment. And that last panel was great.
I am however getting a bit annoyed with how we have something introduced at the start of each issue then we don't come back to it until the end. This issue it was Shockwave and though it'll flow fine in trade, with singles I just found myself thinking 'what have you been doing all issue?' I'm sure next issue will begin and end with Scorponok with him doing nothing else inbetween.
Only other fault is an error on the last page where we don't get the end of Hot Rod's line because the end bit of Swoop's (from a few pages ago) is pasted in instead.

I didn't understand Swoop's last line either. I figured they were both supposed to be the same (in classic Foreboding Furman Fashion) but I figured they put the wrong line in. Shame it was the line that led into the cliffhanger, too.
