International Karate was like that on the Commodore 64! There were quite a few things that you could type in that had some pretty cool effects including one that made the fighters drop their trousers in mid-battle!

I can't remember which game was for which system, but;
Monkey Island Horace Goes Skiing Lemmings Theme Park Mario Kart 64
Well, Mario Kart 64 was in the N64. We pitched in at Uni to buy one... four player split screen. Many an afternoon was spent on that.
I think Horace Goes Skiing was on the Spectrum. Possibly not my favourite game, but the only one I could get to bloody load!
And on my trusty Amiga 500, Monkey Island and Lemmings, and then when I got my A1200, Theme Park.
I have the odd online race on either Motorstorm or Burnout on the PS3 these days.

Going back to the days of the BBC Micro, Frak! was better than Chuckie Egg. My favourite space invaders one was Zalaga. Elite blew my mind, being 3D and all. My neighbours had a highly amusing barbarian fighting game where you hack at each other with swords to drain life energy, but it didn't really matter how much life you lost because you could spin and lop the other guy's head off at any time. FRAK!'s music is one of the best soundtracks ever!!! doo dee do do dee do do dee do da de doo dah... The cover for Barbarian had Wolf from Gladiators on it XD Another classic BBC game is Castle Quest. It's a platform/puzzler that I encourage people with mondern gaming attitudes to play to see how they figure out the problems. Repton was also a great, great game.

I don't think I could whittle it down to five individual games, nor place them in any order... How about five favourite series?
Metal Gear Solid. Monkey Island. Silent Hill. Street Fighter. Bugaboo The Flea.

Most of my favourite games of all time were all Nintendo 64 games like the humourous Conkers Bad Fur Day.

I'm not sure when, but I see that the results have been counted and the Empire 100 is now on the website. Will have a look later as it's one game per page and my internet is slow today.

I haven't played too many of the top 20...I can still remember a mates expression when I told him I'd never played a 'Zelda' game. Could have rolled a tank into his mouth.

Reading this top100, is kind of like realising that the plurality of people in Britain read the Sun; then realising that most people in Britain don't; then realising that most people in the world don't read a newspaper. Still, glad to see Grim Fandango in there
