Hurrah, another two-day week for Martin. Spent Mother's Day weekend with parents in Bristol. Sat in garden and watched a pair of woodpigeons doing it on the fence a few feet away. Ain't nature marvellous. Ordered 1GB new memory for my computer to speed it up, as it keeps resorting to using the hard disk for memory which slows it down no end. Should arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed it'll do the trick. Fence and hedge still standing. Have a good week, everyone, and please don't forget Earth Hour on Saturday. Martin

Oh yeah, what time is Earth Hour again?
Yeah spent yest am with my mother, and yest pm with Mrs Shockprowl's mother. Piglet was suitabily entertaining throughout. Previous evening Mrs Shockprowl was trying to decided which verse to put in her home made mother's day card. She tried to read the 3 options out to me, but couldn't 'cos she was blubbing too much! Seesh. I read 'em- "No. No. This one."
Last coupla days proper at Uni this week. Practical exams in 2 weeks. Then hospital placement as and when they arrange them. Eeeek!
Have a good week, cyber-chumbs!

Bad start to week. Somewhere between bank and shops I lost most of my money so £30 to get by on for next 10 days.

Oh yeah, what time is Earth Hour again? 8.30 Saturday evening. Info and register your support here (no money involved): earthhour.wwf.org.uk/what_we_do/aboutearthhour/Ralph - Mr Shockprowl and I said have a _good_ week. Pay attention! (I know, if only wishing made it so...) Worked from 8.30am till 6.45pm today, which is a lot for me when none of it's train travel. Three meetings and a real blitz on my in-tray. Will enjoy my days off this week all the more in consequence. Martin

For some reason the roads looked different when I walked to work today, and then I got the horrible idea in my head that maybe the clocks hand gone back and I was going to get to work an hour late.

Back in the healthy eating again this week and started back on my training program again for the upcoming running calendar.
Computer is all good after the wanky virus attack that resurfaced which kept me offline and off the computer most of the weekend.
Need to pop in to work tomorrow in order to sort out fun activities for the Wrestlemania weekend. Needless to say fancy dress is in order. With this in mind I give all of you fair warning that typing in spandex under mens clothing on ebay is not something you want to do.
Sorry to hear about the money loss Ralph.

There's a house just round the corner from me and they have some high-pitched proximity alarm thingy (I think to keep cats away) but it goes off whenever you walk past to the nearby shop and.......arggggghhh my ears!!

You can report them to the local council and get the alarm removed.

You can also ask them to change their alarm first and give them the opportunity to be good neighbours. If they don't it's off to the council. You also if you want to do it right is get someone to video you walking past and the alarm going off.

Planted an apricot tree on the back lawn today. The radishes are coming along nicely. But the new neighbourhood kitten keeps kicking the decorative bark chippings from my flowerbeds onto the lawn, the villain.
For those who don't plan to watch the new series of Robin Hood or the new series of Primeval, both beginning this Saturday, there is a dilemma, because they clash, and you can't not watch two programmes at the same time.

I can! Easily!
Did the local newspaper interview this morning following on from last week's radio spot. To be honest I really wasn't up for it but I had promised to do it so just had to grin and bear it.

Enhanced Disclosure came through today, so hopefully a work start date can't be too far away.
For those curious it says:
CONVICTIONS: NONE CAUTIONS: NONE OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION: NONE OTHER GOVERNMENT INFORMATION: APPLICABLE INFORMATION SEARCHED WITH NO TRACE FOUND.
Obviously my many plots to steal Nick's toys remain unknown to Government forces!

I'll find out soon enough.
Got the phone call at half four to tell me I'm starting next Monday at 9am.
Two minutes later I was back on the phone severing my links with the benefits system. I need never enter the doors of the local Job Centre ever again! The bastards can fuck right off!
