This was in A1 Comics' 50p bin, so I thought I'd give it a go. Not too bad. It looked great (the big panel of the rescue ship landing was particularly nice) and was pretty readable, though lacked a certain something I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe it needed a dialogue polish to make it really pop. Unfortunately, the wraparound story is not explained in context. There appears to be no reason given in the story for why the Autobots are depressed in a tower somewhere needing a story to cheer them up. Presumably this ties into AHM? I have no idea. Slap on the wrist for editorial.
But, yeah, decent enough. Plenty of incident/reading. Bonus point for remembering that Transformers can use tactics and transformations in battle rather than just standing about and shooting each other with laser guns. The writing team show promise. Not adverse to seeing them get another shot. First IDW comic I've read this year that I didn't want to chuck out a window.

For a team of elite killers, we never actually saw them do anything menacing at all (apart from the off-panel killing of Autobots before the story starts)

This is one of the better Spotlights of recent and is much better than the terrible Drift Spotlight.

This is a very good issue - loved reading this story. Could have been called Spotlight Tracks too with how much he was telling the story.
