The Universe Vector Prime has a Cyber Key, but no electronics, so the key just sits in the slot doing nothing. The instruction sheet actually reads, "key storage."

Yes but Vector Prime's electronics are annoying, so that is all good with me.

It's because the Voyager price point can't support electronics anymore. Leo Prime had to have his gutted as well. There hasn't actually been a Voyager class figure with electronics since the end of Cybertron (funnily enough Galaxy Force Vector Prime was the last electronic Voyager) so it seems that it has been that way for a while it's just that nobody noticed until Hasbro decided to repaint some figures from before the belt-tightening occurred.

Personally I don't mind since the very first thing I do with electronic figures is take the batteries out (with the noticeable exception of Armada Overload/E magnus and Animated megatron). Still, look on the bright side although Vector Prime's cyber key is a bit useless now at least it is still pretty

Hmmm. I do get annoyed if a feature is removed for a repaint but the pricepoint remains the same. Seems a bit unsporting, somehow.

I dont think I've ever activated the electronics in Vector Prime, I didn't know there were any.
