Annoyingly I'd put the meet up down in my diary as Tuesday night and not Weds.
Oh well.
Didn't matter while the strike was still on but word is it's going to be called off

Nice little semi-working vacation, that was. Good as always to see James W, James O and Paul W.
'Twelve Angry Men' with Robert Vaughn at the Garrick Theatre was superb. Vikings at the British Museum was OK, though not in the same league as the terracotta soldiers they had a few years back. The comics exhibition at the British Library was a curiosity but would probably mean more to folks into the history of comic books in the UK. Heavy on 2000 AD, V for Vendetta and Watchmen type stuff. And I learned there was once a comic called "The New Adventures of Hitler".

Going to be in London village from the 2nd to 8th of May. Aside from a trip to see some Shakespeare nothing hard and fast has been planned, save a trip to Cardiff and Doctor Who.
Hoping to arrange a meet up for a drink, might even drag the Ayres along.

I'll be busy with FCBD on the 2nd, but there's another group of TF folk meeting on Sun 3rd which you'll be welcome to join. Otherwise, Wed 6th would probably be my only free eve.

Could maybe do the Sunday if the whole of the transport system isn't shut down for the bank holiday like it was for Easter. Wed is also a maybe as it depends whether I can get away from work at a reasonable hour. Fri eve would suit me best but as you're leaving that day I doubt it's convenient?

Well Sunday sounds good, and I dare say we would be available most evenings as well, Shakespeare is during the day on the Wednesday. Not sure about Friday, we'd be heading back up at the back of 10pm.

Good stuff.
Jim, what's the plan for Sunday? You said Penderel's, right? (Andy / Ralph fyi: Penderel's oak in Holborn) What time start and finish?

Yeah, Penderel's Oak in Holborn. No set start time, so call it afternoon. I'll aim to be there around 3/4pm. Finish time is usually when pub closes/trains stop running [probably around 11:30pm on a Sunday].

It appears as if the famed Turnbull accommodation curse has struck again and that the overnight Megabus is in fact an eTap on wheels: Twitter Link

This is transport not accomodation. This is in Nick's purview.

The journey back was worse what with me having an upper bunk. This led to an 11 hour bladder endurance feat. Very little sleep was had 3 hrs if I am lucky.
If I have to coach down again, it will be National Express and I will sit the entire time and bloody well enjoy it.

Hi all
I'm in London for 5 nights from Sunday 21 June, leaving on Friday 26 June. Any particular evening or evenings good for a pub meet?
