The good news is that Classic Transformers volume 4 has a big chunk of the profiles that were printed up the back of the US Marvel issues of The Transformers in the same style as the previous Transformers Universe series. This is nice to see. They haven't seen print since back in the day.
The bad news is that the repro on the stories within (tail end of Budiansky, early Furman US) is dreadful: nowhere near as good as the Titan printings.
So, you pay your money and make your choice.

What's in the volume? Are they still unable to use the ones with Circuit Breaker?

I think it goes up to Primal Scream as Geoff Senior is credited.

Correct. No issues cut out this time.
IIRC it starts with #47 (Underbase part 1) in shoddy repro-vision. IDW, get a grip.

Apparently the Joe stuff is a bit shitty as well in places.

The GI Joe reprints are strange. Some of the issues look pin-sharp and fanastic, some of them are printed in dreadful repro.

Not seen the Joe material but for the good quality stuff perhaps they're just reusing whatever Marvel used for their trades a few years back. Whilst the others have been created using a scanner from the 99p store.

The Joe stuff looks horrendous, the jump down in terms of repro quality between different issues is very, very jarring. It isn't that they aren't remastering the stuff, its just that they seem to be doing it only as they need particular issues for their prestige trades. So the softcover trades get whatever ratty scans they happen to have and shoved out the door.
