This might sound strange. Transformers toys have screws in them to hold them together. I rarely notice them though. I know they're there, but it's like I rarely perceive them and my eye 'fills in' the screw holes. It's like I have a perceptual filter which doesn't often let me see the bits that make them obviously toys, ie screws and screw holes. Am I mad? Does anyone else 'see' the screws?

I see the screws. I SEE THEM!
On a good TF, I don't notice them/mind them. On a poor TF I SEE THEM!
Example: Poor TF- Classics Ironhide, one of the many things I dislike about this mold is how obvious the screws are.

So, I've voted 'sausages' 'cos some times I see 'em, and some times I don't. Crazy stuff.

Sausages. I think theres rules as to where screws go unnoticed or not. Inside of the legs I know there there but they fell like part of the design.
Ironhide really is a good example of when the screws are in the wrong places and suddenly become very annoying.

I love the intricacy of TF engineering so I always notice the screws, pins, rivets etc. I think the part of your brain that masks the screws makes them stand out in mine.

Some good TF's actually use stickers to cover up the screws.

Screws on Micromaster chests bug me. But the Japanese releases with the MicroTrailers do come with little stickers to cover them over.

Sometimes I see them, sometimes I don't. But some designs do clever things with the screws, like hide them in a hole or have screw-like designs over the robot.
Some of them, like Universe Ironhide, just plonk them on higgledy-piggledy
