Blueshift, my fingers are crossed for you.
I'd second what Ralph has said, it is always worth exploring other options other than medication with your GP. It is always good to have extra tools in the tool-box.

Hope things pick up soon Matt. I'll third what Ralph says (he's a wise chap when he's not talking about Longtooth).

Ralph is 9 kinds of wise.
Have a good chat with your GP and hopefully he'll get you back on track.
Of course, we're always here for channeling, sausage advice and general plastic robot support.

Just to say, Blue', if you're not getting the level of support from a partic healthcare professional, such as a GP, you have rights to shop around in that area of things to.

Indeed.
Laptop back in to techy place for another wipe and restore. Bloomin' hope it works this time or it's new laptop time.
Mad week at work, what with office move and all. Working from home/out and about today and tomorrow until new place is ready next week. Bit nerve wracking considering I'm only just starting to learn the basics of the job. Roll on finish time tomorrow when I shall treat myself with a curry. Hope to catch the movie 'Moon' at some point over the weekend. Ages since I saw an intelligent film.

This week I've been laid off by the agency my car's exploded and my boyfriend's mum is about to go into hospital for her heart surgery pre-op.
But on the plus side I did go to one of the best gigs ever on Tuesday.
Every cloud...

Cheers Ralph. The surgery will be very soon because she's classed as a 'high-risk' patient. I'll be filing for some channelling when the time comes.

Available for channelling too.
George just took the test. False Alarm again. We are neither happy or sad about it, but somewhat releived in that we don't have to drastically alter our plans for the next few months. We are still planning for a September 2010 baby though.

I was sitting on a bus today and I was wondering who the brains behind the outfit was when he/she/it designed one of the emergency exits on the bus. In the roof of the bus there is a glass window which says on it 'Emergency Exit: Use hammer to break glass' and by the side of the window is a hammer encased in a glass box which says on it 'To use hammer break glass'

The hammer cover glass is easier to break, like fire alarm glass which can be broken with a badly placed elbow. I know ....

Doin' essay. Last essay! Nearly there. Got movie voyagers Starscream and Optimus yesterday. Funny how, although I enjoyed the first movie more, I didn't get that many of the toys, but this time 'round, although I enjoyed the second movie less, I've felt inclined to buy some of the toys! Strange. I've never been entirely convinced about the movie designs, but Starscream has grown on me, which is strange as he's prob the most alien looking, least untill Demolishor's come along. The toy is excellent. Really pleased, so much so that, hopes Mrs Shockprowl doesn't see this, I've got a movie repaint of Thundercracker and Skywarp on the way now. TC wasn't that expensive, but SW's fairly new out I beleive so he was more meatballs. What is it with me and those three damn jets? Have one, gotta have all three. Optimus is great also. I think I'm wanting to recreated the forest fight or something.
On my paramedic hospital placements for next two weeks, after waiting months and months for them to be organised by the service. Excited!

I'm fed up this week. I've had an infection from one of my back molars going bad for two months. Dentists have been telling me repeatedly for years that it would probably have to come out at some point, even as the giant filling was first being put in. I wish they'd just pulled it then. Because of the filling theres nothing left to grasp to remove it so I have to go to hospital whenever I can get an appointment. In the mean time the infection has either spread over the entire side of my face or the source infection swelling and putting pressure on my neck, jaw, ear, eye and now top of my head. I'm on antibiotics and pain killers in the same catagory as morphine.
Between work and being fed up I've been going through all the stuff I want to sell and its overwhelming the front room. I probably have enough to go to AA as a dealer if I thought it would be worth it. Its going to take weeks to put it all on ebay though. It'll be worth it though, it'll free up loads of room.

Try sidling up to the bar for wares to sale once people have been drinking for a few hours. You'll get rid of stuff easily.

Shockprowl - best of luck with the last essaty. It is a good feeling when the goal is in sight isn't it?
I think my knee (the good one, rather than the bad one for once) doesn't entirely like me at the moment. Having got the bike fixed up and on the road I took it out this morning to see how far I could get along the canal. I ended up doing about fifteen miles over the course of two hours. It felt really good, until I stopped. Then my good knee started to complain. (I can only assume I was favouring the bad knee when I was peddling as it hasn't given me any problems). It was a good way to start the last day of my leave though - it got me out in the sunlight, and a little further along the canal than I have managed to get before. I must consider at some point in the future heading off with more extensive supplies and seeing if I can make it the extra few miles to Kirkintilloch.
Andy - Sorry to hear about the tooth issue. I'm fortunate enough not to have had anything filled, but having had large numbers of teeth removed when I was a child I sympathise with anything dental related.
