If anyone missed out on the previous editions (they did go out of print very quickly and volume 1 goes for silly money), it's well worth it if you have an interest in 80's Transformer character designs. Be warned though: it is the size of a very large and heavy brick!
EDIT: Jim Sorenson's blog is well worth checking out: he posts designs that he couldn't use for the books so people can still see them. At some point, I'd like some access to a printer so I can print them out and make a folder of the additional designs. There's a lovely design for the 'Ark II' on his blog, etc.

I had a look at this in FPG today. S'quite nice. May very well order this on Amazon too.
Since getting this Allspark Almanac, I want more books! Generations will be next!

I will be replacing my individual volumes with The Complete Ark. It has enough extra stuff in it to warrant a purchase from me.
The Generations books are really nice, Gav! Get them! The likes of HLJ and TFSource sell them.
I can never get enough art/toy books about Transformers.

I bought this today from FPC as an impulse buy. The forward by Bob Budiansky was a nice surprise. Not keen on how the US notes assume reference to the cartoon series though, but can't have everything. Love the Masterforce section. Edit: Darn it, no Hubcap, Roadbuster, Whirl or Deluxe Insecticons. The alternate designs (where cartoon and comic differ) are nice to see - though the comic version is always labelled as the 'alternate' one. Martin

Volume 1 was going for silly money but may be about for less now the omnibus is about. On reflection, I'll skip the Complete version. Having seen one in store, I have no room for it! I'll hang on to vols 1 and 2 instead.

There's a lovely design for the 'Ark II' on his blog, etc. I've downloaded all twenty-eight 'Ark Addenda' to date. I may print them out at some point and insert them in The Incomplete Complete Ark to make The Complete Complete Ark. The Ark II design looks like it heavily influenced the Ark seen in the US comics after it had been repaired and relaunched from Earth (in Child's Play, Spacehikers, Totalled, etc.). Martin

The Ark II design is fantastic. I wish it had been featured in the book proper, but I shall print it off at some point.

Just printed off the 31 to date, though what I want with a sheet telling me how to draw the inhabitants of 'Planet Sandra', I've no idea.
Got a nice clear plastic folder to put them in. But! In what order? Well, the 10 pre-Movie Sunbow sheets first, in alphabetical order (the Ark II followed by nine sheets with cartoon episode titles). No, divided by faction logo, then in alphabetical order, so the Decep tech is all together. Then! The 12 post-Movie Sunbow and Headmasters sheets lumped together, grouped first by faction symbol then alphabetically. (Hmmm, Unicron and Planet Sandra have their own factions insignia.) Finally and best of all! The nine Masterforce sheets, grouped by faction symbol and then ordered alphabetically. Haha! And they accuse me of being an obsessive compulsive, the poor fools. I'll show them...
I think we're due another Masterforce sheet this week.
Hey, you know, my pictures of the Ark in the Eugenesis thread look just like the Ark II (only less detailed). They were based on pics from comics such as 'Spacehikers' and 'Totalled'. I think it's safe to say that the Ark II schematics we have here are the definitive guide used by US comic artists for the Ark post-relaunch in the Marvel comics. (Even when Unicron takes it on the chin from the Ark in issue #75 - that Ark is based on this design.)

I've been perusing through TCA and find it to be a fantastic work. If I was budding TF artist, this would be the book to own. I especially enjoy the full page spreads on the Quintessons, Junkions, and Japanese expanded ancillary characters.
