I'm looking forward to this week's Doctor Who Magazine to see the result of the Big Poll Of Stories. I hope Cuddly Colin doesn't get the wooden spoon again.

One of my work colleagues told me she did a car boot sale at the weekend. She had an Alien head that held DVDs which she kept meaning to ask me about, but didn't. In the end she sold it for £8.
I just sat there staring at her, before showing her the results of a search on ebay. With the same item having sold for amounts between £80-£160
There is a moral here, people.

Don't let normal people sell sci-fi stuff?

There are currently two Action Master Elite Windmills on ebay.de, both complete, both cheap... both not shipping to the UK. Grrrr.

A rather exhausting couple of days so far. I've been run a little bit ragged with various things.
I have just discovered that I have the friday before the September Public Holiday off as well. On the bright side this means that not only is next week a four day working week but next week is also a four day working week.
On the down side, this means that not only is next week a four day working week but so is this week......

Hang in there, Doc', something'll come up.
We've decided to move up the property ladder. Oh Dear God! Buying and selling a house is a specticle unlike any other- equally exciting and dreading at the same time!
Piglet started nursery school yesterday. We got to stay and watch for a bit yesterday. Soon as she saw the outside bit in partic, she didn't even notice we were there. *chin wobbles* they grow up so fast!

Went in to hospital for a hernia op on Monday. 40 minutes after I was doe to go to surgery the consultant came in to tell me there had been an emergency so my op was cancelled. I went home then went back in yesterday. Pleasantly I was able to come home the same night. It wasnt too bad but I got a humongus brusise on my belly and my throat is still soar. Really not in the mood to do anything today.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel a bit more agile.

But enough of me moaning. I don't want to annoy people.
Thanks to the generosity of my parents, it looks like enough has been saved up over a few months so that hopefully sometime next month I will be able to replace this ailing laptop. I look forward to being able to do youtube vids without the video constantly skipping. The last dozen or so have been done without me being able to view them properly. Ceryainly makes doing one with lots of subtitles like the Botcon comic one a bitch to do. I also look forward to being able to view iPlayer again, etc.

Well I've had to swallow my pride and climb back into the dehumanising cycle of signing on. It's either that or the money I've saved for moving will go down the toilet. I can look forward to my £60 quid a week in about 3 weeks. Yay.
I've made an appt with a careers advisor at my old Uni for next Monday to get a fresh perspective and beg for help. You might think: 'why didn't he do that a year and a half ago?'. Well, it wasn't until I went to their talk last night that I even knew there was a careers service I was eligable to access. It had never been mentioned by staff on the course I did. I had no idea it existed.
Popping back into the place I briefly worked at next Tuesday. I aim to ask if I can do a few hours volunteering a week, just to have something current on the CV. All they can do is say no. I'm going completely demented. I'm rarely even getting replies to applications now (worse than before I had the 3 months paid work). The interview last week? No reply. Not by text, landline, mobile, letter or e-mail. Tells me something.
