1. Linkin Park "New Divide" 2. Green Day "21 Guns" 3. Cavo "Let It Go" 4. Taking Back Sunday "Capital M-E" 5. The Fray "Never Say Never" 6. Nickelback "Burn It To The Ground" 7. The Used 'Burning Down The House" 8. Theory Of A Deadman "Not Meant To Be" 9. The All-American Rejects "Real World" 10. Hoobastank "Don't Think I Love You" 11. Staind "This Is It" 12. Avenged Sevenfold "Almost Easy" 13. Cheap Trick "Transformersâ„¢ The Fallen Remix"
No Mutemath or Stan Bush w/old rapper on this one. I'm pleased that Staind, Theory of a Deadman and Avenged Sevenfold made it to line-up.

That's amusing. With the exception of Cavo (WHO?) and Cheap Trick (EH?) I utterly despise every single band on that album. At least the first one had a Smashing Pumpkins track - not a particularly good one, but at least Billly Corgan can write songs with a bit of verve to them. This collection is just a bunch of desperate knuckle-draggers of the lowest order...
...But that's just me talkin'.

Right with you there Mark, since The Crow and Judgement Night, rock based soundtracks have been shite.

I like the first 20 or so seconds of that Linkin Park track. Aside from that its nothing special. I used to really be big on that band.
Is that a Tom Jones cover by The Used?

I don't know who any of these bands are. I have become old.

I can only ID Linkin Park and Green Day, and the latter only from conversations with one of my colleagues at work who stays current with contemporary music. Linkin Park I only know of from T-Shirts......
Some days I understand how it feels to be space-lagged.

It sounds flat, no enthusiasm and it also sounds like the person who sings the Animated theme.

I can't believe Nickleback (the DFS sofas house band) are gonna be associated with something I like.

Saw this in HMV. Not mentioned on the cover but some small asterisks on the back reveal that 5 tracks are not actually in the movie.

I've only heard of about seven of those artists and all of them I'm not exactly a fan of.

I at least recognise the majority of the bands this time, though could only name songs by half and Green Day aside Im not a huge fan of any. I do already love the 21 Guns track from Green Days new album. I guess I'll pick this up at some point. And come on guys Green Day have been around almost 20 years, age is not an excuse here A much better reason is that they are mostly fairly generic/crap American college rock bands (not to say I don't like them) who only make it across the pond if they get attached to a movie soundtrack. I'm sure the Nickelback song in the film was "Something In Your Mouth", during the frat party. Of course, there may have been more than one, or it could have been changed after the soundtrack was published, or perhaps the one above is *Not In The Movie.
