I have read this issue. It didn't do a great deal for me to be honest. Given how tight my comics budget is I don't know that I could justify dropping something else to make room for it as things stand.
If it developed in a direction that interests me I could probably pick it up in trades later down the line.

I don't think the comic is broken, it's the forum members that are. Andy Keep in mind that IDW don't just read their own forums, they do keep tabs on review threads at the AllSpark and TFW2005, along with reviews from general comic sites. So this Prowl issue popped up all over the place as a persistent niggle, hence the response from Andy. It is likely a case of being blinded by your own story. Costa and Schmidt know what Prowl's motivations are but sometimes when you're knee deep in it yourself it can be hard to see how a complete outsider with no knowledge of what's coming will read a scene. What seems fine to you with your foreknowledge is a characterization inconsistency to the rest of us, especially in light of Roche's recent story. I just hope that whatever Costa has as context for Prowl doesn't go contradicting Roche! Nick did such a nice job on the guy, it'd be a shit if they backed it out.

I might consider reading issue today. Judging by the comments here it can't be worse than the bag of Schmidt that was Continuum!

It's a vast improvement, but then it really couldn't have been any worse unless it had been written by Shane McCarthy.
