Is the little one three? Awwww.
In other news, last week with parents this week as I have a flat move confirmed for next Monday afternoon. Yay.
Royal Mail finally delivered my official offer of work a week after it was sent. I've replied to that.
Hopefully this means I can have mostly a lazy week between weeks of otherwise frenzied activity.

Wahey for Jonathan reaching three!
And yes the Hub's latest forum was two on Nov 2, 2007, 11:44am which was when I registered the forum and myself.
So huzzah to the Hub. All those birthday threads and we forgot the Hub, shame on us!

Enjoy your lazy week, Ralph. (Try to avoid stress-inducing phenomena such as phone lines if you can!)
I have tomorrow off, as I've clocked up 8 hours on the flexi-clock and I've just finished a biggish job and passed it on to lawyers for them to work their magic on it. I shall try to finish reading 'Anna Karenina' tomorrow. I may make a conscious decision to leave the computer switched off for a day - that always makes things more relaxing, I find.

I'll be awol for the next 3 days.
The church is having 3 days of prayer and fasting. I can't give up food due to needing medication taken with it. TV is a non starter either cos J watches a bit...... so a 3 day PC and Internet fast it is.
Except that I find myself projecting tomorrow and Thursday so I'll have to stay away from IE & Firefox then !

Happy scoobery dooberies to Jonathan. where does it go, eh Phil? One min they're little tiny babies, screaming as you lower them into their first bath, the next they're bossy little know-it-alls who order you about all the time. ahhhhh.
And Happy scoobery dooberies to the Hub! Tis' truely a wonderous thing. What a find, what a revelation it was for me when I discovered it 2 and a half ish years ago!

Today is shaping up to be awesome. Despite the fact I am going to have to strip wallpaper in the hall. The reason why, a parcel arrived courtesy of the good Doctor containing a Transformers mug & coaster with hot chocolate and mallows with two small plastic guardians in the shape of Animated Starscream and Skywarp.
Many thanks Ralph, when I am done with the stripping I shall sit and enjoy this mind-staggering gift!

It also cheers me up after the devastating revelations of last night.
As you know I've been decorating the house, which involves steam stripping the old wallpaper off and paying someone to paint the place. Last night was me putting my room back together again. I went into my cupboard and was confronted by a horrible, horrible sight and smell.
A large portion of my comics collection is in there on shelves, not in bags and that. So guess what was all water damaged and damp? I'd been planning a cull anyway but needless to say a lot of comics have just been put for recycling.
Bugger.

Now that I've got a bit of spare time on my hands and with no job forthcoming at the moment I thought I might learn one or two qualifications to help me get a job. I've just been looking at the Learn Direct website and there are a few courses that interest me. Furthermore, there is a Learn Direct centre near where I live and their courses seem to be quite reasonably priced. I think I might just check them out as it can't do me any harm.

Owch. That is not good Andy. I hope you managed to salvage something from the ravages of the aggressive condensation.

Thankgoodness.
I know full well quite a few comics and toys will likely be damaged by damp while in storage. I may need strong tea when sorting through that lot.

Oh bugger! Bummer about the comics damage. The evils of condensation, hey?
I've siliconed the living piss out of the u-bend on the bathroom sink over the last two weeks, and it still leaks into the basement. I give up, I'll just use a bloody bucket. Useless landlord has sodded off to Texas for the next two weeks, and then it'll be Thanksgiving, so I won't have a chance to twist his arm into fixing it till early December.
