www.previewsworld.com/public/default.asp?t=1&m=1&c=23&s=216&ai=89837&ssd=I have to say, I like Chee's art more and more everytime I see it. Also, the story even in these few pages feels a lot more engaging than the ongoing. I'm looking forward to this more that I thought I would, but I guess that's partially due to the cynicism the recent comics have forced me to develop.

It does look pretty good - but poor 'bee, eh?

The art is quite nice, much more to my tastes than the ongoing. But I can't say that the preview pages really grab my interest that much. We shall see, I shall probably give the first issue a go to see what it is like, just as I did with the on-going.

When is this out? I'm quite encouraged by those preview pages and the slightly improved regular #2... but don't call me a fan just yet.

I think Chees art looked better in B+W, but the colouring here isn't as 'off' as the Coda was, so thats cool. Why do I look forward to the Two Mini's more than the ongoing?

This does look good. I wasn't sure there how much appetite there would be for this title, especially if most folk have committed their pennies to buying the Ongoing, but it looks very nice indeed. I'm not entirely convinced that it needed to be a seperate mini-series though. Surely the story could have been told in the pages of the ongoing?

He's probably got the Avengers stashed away inside so that Marvel can't ask them to do another Transformers vs. the Avengers crossover comic!

Picked this up on Saturday. Quite a nice little issue all in all and helping me warm up some more to the ongoing as well. Guess it has done its job as I plan to buy the next issue and see where it goes from there.

I received my issue today but it's unlikely that I'll read it today. I'll probably give it a read through later on in the week .

Good lord. What an astonishingly boring comic. That was the most mind-numbing comic I have read in quite some time. I can't quite articulate what a chore that was to get through. No spark or wit to it at all. Shame, because the art style is nice. I'm done with this series though.

Looked good, but utterly uninspired story that was tedious and unoriginal.

It spins out of the events of TF #2 where Bumblebee was elected Autobot leader. A couple of days into the job he's facing two major problems: the Autobots are fugitives of humanity and forced to hide, and second they are running low on energon. So that is ramping up the discontent and putting pressure on Bee to come up with a solution.
When a rogue Skywatch colonel offers an alliance whereby the Autobots will round-up Transformer threats (like Skywarp) it sounds like an opportunity to solve all of Bee's problems, but it might be that he's made a deal with the devil.
Sorry if that's too much detail but basically what issue 1 is about. I've read it and I'm a fan of the art and story, but give it a go and make your own mind up.

What bothers me the most with this story is that it paints Bee and his lot of Autobots as being almost mindnumbingly naive. It's almost at the level of duping that went on in the cartoon, and yet it's being put into a storyline that's ostensibly serious business.
Bee didn't seem this foolish in Infiltration, he seemed like a fairly sharp character. This feels like a step backward. I have the feeling it's going to get rather eye-rolling when the 'befriending child character to foil evil human' bit comes up.
I don't really know what the point of this little series is, to be frank.

It's almost at the level of duping that went on in the cartoon, and yet it's being put into a storyline that's ostensibly serious business. Remember the context though. They've lost their leader, they are low on power, forced to live like fugitives, and they are a desperate bunch. It's not like everybody's forgotten the humans are the enemy but what other option do they have but to go for the deal? I have the feeling it's going to get rather eye-rolling when the 'befriending child character to foil evil human' bit comes up. Yeah, that could descend into cheesyness. I hope not. I don't really know what the point of this little series is, to be frank. I wondered that too because the story seems to flow so naturally from Ongoing #2 that it ought to be Ongoing #3-6, but I suspect the reason for it being a spin-off is tied to Bee's eventual fate at the end of issue #4. According to the solicits his tenure as leader reaches a 'conclusion', whatever that might mean, but it sounds like Skywarp has something to do with it. If he's only leader for four issues then that'll be why its wrapped up in a mini-series, but personally I'd rather the gap be longer until Optimus gets back and its business as usual.

I just read issue 1 this morning but I couldn't believe how it ended. Bumblebee and his small group of Autobots seem to be more than happy to be the proverbial lambs to the slaughter.
