Last nights dinner was a slice of home-made corned beef pie, steamed carrots and brocolli, boiled potatoes and gravy. The pie was an experiment, first one that I had done and it turned out rather nicely.
I followed up that with some crackers and "Mexican Cheddar with jalapeno peppers". Rather nice, and I had enough corned beef pie left over to do several more meals this week.

Today I had a curry, made by anonymous people in a factory somewhere then heated up in a very old and quite probably unsafe microwave. It was only after eating it that I realised that it may not have been the best food choice considering I had the runs several times this morning. Hmmm.

Last night i had a veritable FEAST.
Whilst walking home, i stopped into the chippy and bought a roll & chips. Once i'd scoffed that, I stuck in a wee pizza. Once I'd polished that off, the Missus came in with a load of soup she'd nicked from her gran who lives down the road. So i had a big bowl of that too.
Excellent. Tonight: Pot Noodle.

I'm getting roast beef on Friday. It's the alt.christmas thing my mum does most years (turkey being a swear word in our house). The timing is also a bit alt.christmas as we don't "do" Christmas en famille any more. That saying, I've got my eye on a pizza tonight (I might send the lodger out to Hastings to get it).
Yours hungrily (yeah that and the food porn thread did it for me).

I knew there was a reason to swing by the Hub tonight (other than to smite someone)... I sensed the mention of... roast!
Once my heating is working again I most celebrate by consuming a roast on behalf of all Scots Hubbers. My thanks gentlemen.

Nobody would eat an uncharismatic dessert like that!
Exciting dinner update!: Lyndsay came home from Asda with a cooked chicken! Extra tasty was the cry, as i tucked into some rolls and lovely chicken breast.
As you will all see at the Glasgow HubDrink, I've got a belly.

Nobody would eat an uncharismatic dessert like that! I didn't have a great deal of time for cooking this evening (and left the corned beef pie I intended to have in the freezer this morning), I ended up having some Muligatawny soup, and a roll with some sliced chicken in it. Very palatable it was too. Karl

Pizza, garlic bread and full fat coke. The diet starts soon. Probably.
Karl, I never knew you had learned to cook properly. I can count the number of times on one finger you ever cooked for me.

Rowan I couldn't cook for the life of me when I was younger, but since then I have become fully-rated to run my kitchen without an instructor hanging over my shoulder. My skills are still limited, but I get by. Karl

Christmas Dinner this year was a good one - roast potates, some turkey, a couple of stuffing balls, steamed carrots and sprouts and some gravy. That was followed up with Christmas Pud and cream, washed down with a couple of glasses of wine.
Very agreeable.
