While walking to Greggs I tried to compile my Top Ten of chocolate, but quickly ran out of slots. Anyway, in no particular order (all right then, alphabetical order), I came up with:
After Eight dark chocolate Easter egg with box of After Eight mints
Black Forest gateau
Chocolate-coated raisins
Chocolate-flavoured Baileys, or chocolate mint-flavoured cream liqueur
Chocolate melt-in-the-middle sponge pudding
Coffee creams, preferably dark chocolate
Hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, or chocolate mint-flavoured variant
M&S cherry liqueurs
Mint chocolate Magnum
Thorntons rum truffles
Triple chocolate muffins
Drat, that's already eleven. Better stop.

Experimented putting a triple choc muffin in the microwave for 30 seconds to heat up its molten core. Thought the chips might melt, but they didn't, so it basically turned into a chocolate melt-in-the-middle sponge pudding, but with chocolate chips. Cold cream then made a lovely contrast with the hot chocolate sauce.

I do this sometimes.
I also recommend wrapping a pancake around a Mars Bar and popping it into the microwave for 30 seconds. Then add peanut butter, syrup and skooshy cream.

HE CAME THROUGH AT CURRY O'CLOCK AND DIDN'T STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE COULD HAVE SMASHED A RESTAURANT AND THEN BURNED IT DOWN TO HIDE WHAT I'D DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a curry in my favourite London Indian place on Monday evening. Not naming it so you can't smash it. They have enough problems with Covid restrictions. Some staff still on furlough and only the small downstairs area open for seating - main restaurant currently mothballed. I was the only one eating in at the time (6pm to 7pm). But the chef is the same and the food indistinguishable from what I remember. No, not a lamb biryani. I favour a potato curry at this place. Martin |
