My collection of the Top Trumps Marvel Villans cards that the Daily Mirror are giving away came to an end yesterday. Both yesterday and today my father threw the cards straight in the bin before I got up and as a result I couldn't get them so now I'm missing eight cards from the collection.

I find it incredibly difficult to get to sleep, so generally I leave an audio play or a dvd with a commentary playing on and listen and eventually nod off. Andy I fully recommend The Sensorites! The BBC has put it all on youtube for free!

Today, I went for a wander and found the Meadowside area of Edinburger. Looks nice enough, but I wouldn't want to live there. Feels a bit too upmarket and removed from everyday life for my tastes. Found a toyshop and a strange elongated park with a stream in it.
Did some food shopping while listening to podcasts/audio plays (the best way to do shopping, I feel). Popped into my local for a lovely pub meal and read a graphic novel. Just chilling now until it's time to see The Wolfman at the local cinema.
Haven't had a nice pottering around day like this in a couple of years without worrying about money or doing things just to keep busy rather than doing things for enjoyment on a day off from an actual paying permanent* job.

I'm a little p*ssed off this morning because yesterday I downloaded a torrent and it came with a free trojan as part of the package so this morning I've had to download a trojan remover program to get rid of it because AVG is managing to find and delete the temporary files that the trojan keeps creating but can't seem to find the actual root program. As a result AVG throws up a message onto my screen about every ten minutes saying that it has found a trojan and it dutifully gets rid of it. The trojan remover program that I'm using is a free one and I'm hoping that it will get rid of the actual root program because it is starting to p*ss me off!

I'll have a try at that as AVG can't get rid of it and never can two other programs I've downloaded this morning from Download.com including a registry cleaner program. The problem is that the thing has attached itself to the svchost.exe file in my system folder and I can't delete that (the computer won't let me anyway) because its an essential program to allow the computer to run effectively. It keeps on dumping temporary files in the temp folder in my windows folder and those can easily be detected and deleted but the main root of the problem can't.
The trojan is also an annoying adware program and whenever I'm on the net it occasionally loads up a random casino website without asking me.
UPDATE: I've tried that Malware program now and ran it through a quick scan which found and deleted a list of problems relating to my current problem but the it didn't get rid of everything and AVG is still picking up problems as and when the root of the problem creates them. At this current moment I am running the Malware program through a full scan to see if that cures the problem.
UPDATE 2: I've replaced AVG with Avast and that has picked up and deleted a few of the files and the Malware Bytes has done the same but the problem still exists. I think maybe I'll have to buy a trusted program to do the job properly.

I'm trying that second one you have linked to and I hope that works because it claims it can find a load of different Win32 viruses of which mine is one such program. Otherwise I'm going to have to wait until next week and buy the SpyHunter Suite software because that claims to be the best at dealing with this and I actually had that software on my old computer but foolishly got rid of it even though it successfully got rid of a virus a while ago.
Anyway, enough of my ranting about this problem of mine I'm off down the pub in about half an hour for a few pints and a stab at the pub quiz!

I've had a quiet couple of days. Pottering around the house doing some cleaning and tidying up on Saturday. Then unsuccessfully attempting to make an apple pie, (It was successful right up until the time came to take it out of the pie dish. Then it all went a little bit wrong....).
I spent yesterday evening with my feet up, drinking a pint of Guiness and watching "Flash Gordon". Timothy Dalton being awesome and Brian Blessed being VULTAN, PRINCE OF THE HAWKMEN!!! is the perfect thing for helping to recharge drained batteries.
This morning I had the pleasure of not needing to get up and rush out when I woke up just after seven, so I just made a nice cup of coffee and curled up with a book for an hour before going for my walk. Following that up with a nice chicken curry and watching a bit of Doctor Who has proven to be the recipe for an excellent Sunday.

I'm back from the pub and I've clearly had too much to drink because I've joined several groups on Facebook that are sex related!

I decide this morning to check my emails and discover that Paypal has restricted use of my account. I get the thing verified so that I can have more options when paying for things and in the events I have a number of existing options taken away from me! WTF!

Mine did that a while ago because I went past my recieving limits. I always assumed that limit was that money in an account at one time, but it seems to be over the lifetime of the account. It should give you steps to lift restrictions, ie checking your phone number, card details etc.

This one is asking me to provide business details and so forth. If I knew that getting verified meant taking a few steps backwards I would never have done it.

If so, yeah, Morningside is a bit posh (in most places) but there are some more down to Earth abodes there. And the Merlin serves pretty good food. And Lucas ice cream is not to be missed, especially the desserts in their cafe upstairs.
