I couldn't resist and spoiled myself.
Very excited to see a certain you-know-who added to the mix!

Well, that Blog made a change. Instead of the usual arguments over how bad IDW's current output is we get instead a spammer trying to flog Nike trainers!

At the end of Maximum Dinobots #5, Grimlock is arrested. Was he sent to Garrus 9 and if he was, will we see him in Last Stand Of The Wreckers?

Page 5 is my new favourite page, displacing the mottos one from last issue. Glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time I read it.

I did actually let some Ribena out when I saw that. Funny, funny, stuff.
What I like best about that preview on Issuu is that if you click "related" on the right hand side, Hubris comes up! Thanks for that, Denton.

Read the issue and I'm glad Guido's gone for a Roche-stylee art approach as to not disrupt the flow of the comic.
Storywise, top notch as usual, I'll wait for a few others to read before discussing.

Yes, I have to say, Guido blended in so well it didn't jar at all. Great job! I don't know whether I should spoiler this or not, but I will anyway: This is the best issue in terms of flow - it sucks you in for the ride and doesn't stop till you hit the last page. Nothing throws you out of it, neither dialogue nor art. Shockwave's appearance is great, and at least we know now that he's out and about. Got to wonder about Skorponok. Not to mention Grimlock, both of whom should be there in cells, one would think.
Excellent combination of humor and violence in the first half, from Rotorstorm's last crack to Overlord's 'starting gun' quip. This is what I want to see in TF comics - it can be serious and bloody, but give me something to giggle about as well. The interpersonal conflict with Perceptor's group was a nice touch and makes you wonder just who Ironfist is really working for. (Prowl?) The Jumpstarter's thing is a neat touch, and will certainly prove a problem given Twin Twist's predicament at the end of the issue. And Perceptor actually acted like Perceptor for the first time in the recent history of the character.
Also? Impactor isn't dead. Yet. (yay!)
Oh, the footnote bit about Guzzle's buddies dying in Kup's rescue attempt was just perfect and makes you realise that despite Prowl and Springer's best efforts, word apparently got out after all. Whether this comes to anything further on remains to be seen. Even if it doesn't, knitting these threads together is what makes me really enjoy the writing you guys put out. It ties things up in a really satisfying way, but avoids feeling pat and provides plenty of intrigue and excitement.
Hats off on this issue, Nick and James!

If Nick now has time on his hands, I think he should revisit the "Wreckers, combine!" scene and produce the Reeves and Mortimer version:
Panel 1: "Wreckers, combine!"
Panel 2: Pause for effect.
Panel 3: Somebody yawns.
Panel 4: In the distance a clock chimes.
Panel 5: Tumbleweed rolls past.
Panel 6: Someone looks at their watch.
Panel 7: Rotorstorm starts to sweat.
Panel 8: Cut to Overlord, resting with his chin on his hand, half asleep.
Panel 9: Overlord drums the fingers of his free hand on the arm of his throne.
Panel 10: Overlord slowly stretches.
Panel 11: Overlord reaches behind his throne.
Panel 12: Overlord gets up holding a massive frying pan.
Panel 13: Overlord slowly walks over to the Autobots. Nobody else moves.
Panel 14: Overlord raises the frying pan to strike.
Panel 15: WHAAANNNGGG!

Anyone else having a problem gettinga copy. Went to my local comic shop and was told he'd only recieved half his order because of a printing error.
Is this just him having a problem or is this another major distibution problem?
And dies anyone of our comic suppliers here have an issue 3 (Nicks cover)?

There was a printing mistake in the version scanned for TFW which had perceptor saying "Overloard" which maybe the printing error?

If the animated movie is Star Wars, LSOTW is this:
They have a similar mixture of piss-taking humour and brutal death-dealing!
Except that where (in my opinion) the animated movie failed in emulating the magic of SW, LSOTW succeeds in capturing the bitter satire of ST.

About a week ago I read somewhere on the net about a problem with the latest issues of LSotW in America. I can't remember what it was or where I read it but I think it had something to do with distribution problems.

Picked this up today as well, much anticipated! Be wary of medium-ish spoilers! Intriguing to see Shockwave at the start and that he got to leave G-9 with a "hand-picked crew". Good point, Dinogrrrl, that Scorponok and Grimlock are presumably incarcerated there too!
"Wreckers - combine!" Can I just chime in with the appreciation of this line!
"A Wrecker dies" - and indeed, a Wrecker did die!
But the finale ... who is Aquietas, I was expecting a big reveal! I don't know if I can wait until #4 to find out!
