I had one for a while. It was a good idea, but the execution was really lacking. It's no Skystalker, that's for sure!
The vehicles themselves are just a bit too chunky and simple, there's no real spark of inspiration in it, unlike a lot of the other Micromaster bases which were fantastic.

One day I must own it. Yes, it's probably the crappest base but it's still a MM base!

Another I liked as a kid, it did offer a lot of play value, maybe because it wasn't a static base in either mode. It is incredibly basic though. I only bought it because I had been taken to Woolworths and it was on sale down to about £10-12 and my parents randomly bought it for or I had just enough money for an actionmaster and they paid the extra, I tend to blam this set for me not owning Actionmaster Shockwave.

Micromaster Anti-Aircraft BaseThe Micromaster Anti-Aircraft base was the largest Decepticon toy issued as part of the Micromaster Combiners line. In many ways the only combination element to the toy are the Micromasters Blackout Spaceshot, who come with the toy. The vehicle mode of this toy is a tank, cast with a bright yellow body, dark green tracks and a lighter green front. These colours put me in mind of Robots in Disguise Bludgeon, a repaint of Generation2 Combat Hero Megatron. He's got a turret, which turns, with an elevating purple anti-aircraft gun mounted on either side. The turret can accommodate one Micromaster and there's a Micromaster foot post on the floor of the turret for him to stand on. There's a radar dish mounted in a 5mm peg hole on the back of the turret and a bazooka gun that can be attached to either the 5mm peg hole at the front of the turret or another on the side of the driving compartment at the front of the tank. The driving compartment can accommodate a second Micromaster but there's no foot peg there. The last accessory is a moulded missile array that mounts on a peg hole at the rear of the tank. Towards the 4 corners of the tank are 5mm pegs with a hole down the middle. We'd later know these as Mini-con posts, but Armada's 12 years in the future at this point. However your Mini-con's can still be attached to these posts. The front of the vehicle can remove from the tank to form a four wheeled scout vehicle for it's Micromaster driver to use. This can be deployed in tank mode, but it's also the first step of the transformation. Remove the missile array & turret which has a 5mm peg on the underside securing it to the tank. Pull a pale green Micromaster Combiner base ramp (The combiner ramps have a 5mm peg hole in the back of them) out from within the tank's body. With the front of the tank facing you, fold the rear of the tank out to the left and peg the missile array into it. You can store the missile array attached to the underside of this panel in vehicle mode. Unlatch the top of the tank from the left side and fold the top & right side back 90 degrees so the right tread points out to the right. Fold a stand down under the top of the tank to support it as a helicopter landing pad. Mount the turret on the back right corner of the tank. The base mode of the toy is much more a throwback to the Micromaster base toys of the previous year. There's ramp ports at the front and back of the floor of the tank allowing for a through road to be formed through the base. The left side of the base has a wall formed from one side of the tank running along it's length. On the right of the base at the rear there's another wall formed from the other side of the tanks with a helipad mounted on the front off it. There's another ramp port at the front of the helipad so there's plenty of room to connect to 1990's combiner transports or any of the base modes from the previous year. Decent tank vehicle, and quite a nice little base by itself, but much better when used in conjunction with other Micromaster base toys.
