IIRC the R1 release of the pilot movie is out shortly, with a set of 'season 1' due a few months later. I've heard that Germany are getting a release. Don't now about other countries yet.

The pilot is on R2 DVD. Seems to be a low-key release. I had no idea it existed until Andu told me (I was aware there was an R1 release). I had some trouble finding a copy. One lone copy was in one branch of HMV, but at £13 for 68mins I thought: 'nooooooooo'. I'll wait for the sales. Special features is listed as '2 shorts'.

If you are having no luck Ralph I can snag a copy for you on payday and you can grab it when you are through at Turnbull Towers.

Thanks, but there's no room on the budget for it. I was just curious to see it on shelves to check the running time. I shall procure it at some future point. There's no rush!

Season 1 is out in the US so if you've got a multiregion player you should find it for about £10 plus another £5 for postage from Amazon US.

I always figure £1 an episode is a fair price per episode. Less is a bonus, more than £2 and I usually wont bother.

Season 1 is out in the US so if you've got a multiregion player you should find it for about £10 plus another £5 for postage from Amazon US. US season 1 doesn't include the 3 episode opener though, just eps 4-13, so you'd still need to buy the "movie" from either the US or UK.

Does anyone know if the Animated DVDs are out yet in the UK?
According to issue 1 of Titan's Animated comic they are "in the shops now" but that doesn't seem to be terribly helpful.
Has anyone come across any?

The pilot ep dvd was released a few months back and I saw it in Asda, as for the other one I haven't seen it.

Cheers Stom;
The Play.com one does look the most promising. Going by that it looks like Animated will be drip released as single-discs with 3/4 episodes a time.

Pilot and season 1 are being re-released as a 'bundle' on R1 in January. IIRC season 2 is due around that time too.

Doubtful it will for the foreseeable future due to the rights for distribution being jointly held by Hasbro and CN.
Hasbro buggering off to do their own channel was not well received by all accounts.

Actually, I think Cartoon Network not having any interest in releasing season three doesn't have much to do with Hasbro creating the Hub.
And actually, I don't think that matters anymore, since Animated now airs on the Hub. So, I think it boils down to Hasbro not giving a damn.

That is a massive price difference. I don't have any Animated dvds as I have always hated the single disc releases of volume 1, volume 2 etc. Though at those prices I am tempted, but the product descriptions are rather dodgy as they are listing G1 episodes.

Animated has aired all three seasons on HD on the Hub so if you know an American chum you could always ask them to record it for you. Or er, *cough* as a full series home video or Itunes type release looks unlikely at this point (sadly still too common for kids cartoons).
