I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro's hand wasn't involved here somewhere along the line.
Iirc they are responsible for Lego not being able to do SW collectible mini fig series.

You fool! My good friend, we live in a world only of STARK EXTREMES. Nothing else is comprehensible. You idiot. Tony Stark is not my boss! -Ralph And we certainly don't advocate the use of Extremis in any form, strength or version. Karl

Imperial Shuttle on the latest Lego magazine is quite nice; next issue is a Finn minifigure. Still monthly with the same numbering, so no sign of the French reboot happening here. UK version out today, confirms Finn fig for next issue. Unhelpfully doesn't say when that's due but 4 weeks yesterday is 4th April.

If it is affordable and I see it I will see what I can do. I have seen a rumoured price tag of £30 for this which seems mad for a couple of bikes and three minifigs.

Now I see some details on it...the set does not include a minifigure of Tron!

If it crops up in the £15-20 range I might go for it. Otherwise a pass from me too.

Agreed. The 'game grid' really should have been a special baseplate.

Given that my local store is having trouble shifting the last few Ideas sets (including the cheaper NASA scientists one) after initial surges I can't see this one moving fast if it is £30.
A base plate would've been good but difficult to package so probably a non-starter. But they could've done something smart with the digital theme of Tron and a reconfigurable set of pieces to make a board.
I suspect part of the reason this has been approved is that two identical bike designs halves the work needed.

Given my odd fondness for Tron Legacy I need to get this set, but might hold off to see if I can get it chwaper.
My patience was rewarded today when I found the jawa set for a tenner.

I was never much of a lego fan growing up, but once they stated licensing properties I suddenly had a one stop shop for almost all the characters I wanted toys of but couldn't afford or didn't have space for. And as an added bonus they scale pretty well with Transformers.

All Lego is designed to work with each other no matter the sub-branding. It is all Lego thus the same toy line so there is no mixing going on.

Lego is not mixed with bricks of a different brand. I have to explain this to civillians all the time.
DO NOT MIX THE BRICKS.
